Often-derided (well I've heard it derided often anyway) this book has a few gems.. and a whole load of things which are a lot less wonderful. I bought it to find out more about the Sabbat's most deadly troops, and instead I found out about another Secret Society, the details of which I won't reveal here, but which has the flavour of something which I refer to as the "White Wolf Arms Race." There was a period during which White Wolf appeared to feel the need to make each new set of NPCs, creatures, or PCs more powerful than the last; this particular book stinks of this especially badly. The suggestions for PCs in this are grossly overpowered in comparison with.. well.. just about everything else in the World of Darkness universe, and the crossover material which touches on the Wraith setting just makes it all worse. The suggestion that there are 2nd Generation Kindred involved in this is vile. The vast bulk of this book is less well thought out and less carefully put together than the best of the 'Net based material available.
