When I was 18 I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). At the time my main symptom (and the one which led to me visiting the GP) was that my periods had become increasingly irregular to the point that they’d not made an appearance for more than 6 months (I knew with certainty that I was not pregnant).
