I moved into my flat about a year ago. It was a bit sudden and I hadn't anticipated the need to decorate, so found myself a bit skint. I decided that although it was cheap enough to change the colours on the walls, I'd have to keep the carpets "for now". They weren't in a bad condition, just mucky. As I don't have a Vax machine I decided to clean the carpets the old fashioned way ... on my knees and with a bucket and scrubbing brush. I invested in a bottle of Vanish shampoo, followed the instructions to the letter, ( whisk 1 part Vanish with 9 parts water to make a foam, apply foam to stained area firmly, let dry and hoover). What can I say, I'm very impressed. The stains were gone and I'd saved myself a fortune in new carpets. I'm going to do my Suite next.
