Advantages: Keeps your skin smooth, its for all skin types, can be used as a lip gloss Disadvantages: could make you look greasy
I have always used Vaseline pure petroleum jelly from when I was a kid and I think my mum used to use it on me when I was a baby. I mainly used it during the winter times because it kept my skin moisturized and it didn't dry up quickly like other skin lotions. It also helped to keep me warm from the winter colds.

This is for the reason that Vaseline keeps my skin soft and does not dry it up. If I put the lip glosses without a layer of Vaseline on my lips, the lip gloss dries up quickly, this is rather annoying.

I also used Vaseline Pure petroleum Jelly for my lips, it kept my lips soft for a long time and I also put it on my lips when I go to sleep. My lips are never dry because I use Vaseline. Of course I have used other lip balms. However, whenever I put my lip gloss on I always put a layer of Vaseline first before I put lip gloss. This is for the reason that Vaseline keeps my skin soft and does not dry it up. If I put the lip glosses without a layer of Vaseline on my lips, the lip gloss dries up quickly, this is rather annoying. When it's in the summer there is no point of buying lip gloss I always put Vaseline and the sun melts it on my lips and it shines like clear glass. Of course during winter time it's a different story as it dries it up this however doesn't stop it from keeping your lips soft all day long.
Whenever I used to cut my self either whilst cooking or just by falling, I would apply Vaseline to the cut because it does reduce the pain and the grease from the Vaseline prevents the dirt from entering the cut of course which could lead to an infection if that dirt ever enters.
When my little cousin was born we used to use Vaseline every time we changed his nappy. My cousin always used to smile when we applied the Vaseline. It's probably because Vaseline has this cooling feeling, which prevents heat rushes from the nappies.
Every time, I always make sure I have Vaseline in my hand bag, I just can't live without it really. If I forget it I always buy a new one to use for the day till I get home.
<<<<<<<<<Price & Package>>>>>>>> Of course it does come in a yellow, blue tube with a white lid. The packaging does not tell you much about the product it self. I bought my Vaseline from my local hairdressing shop for £1.09 I did thought it was well cheap really that's why I bought it, as I usually buy it at double the price. Moreover, the price does change according to how many ml you are buying. You could still buy the Vaseline from many shops including the major supermarkets (Asda, Tesco, Morrison, Sainsburys etc), pharmacies (Boots, Lloydsbetc) beauty shops, newsagents etc. ]
<<<<<<<<Disadvantage>>>>>>>> ---It makes you look greasy if you use it on your skin. I always try not to use it on my face because I hate looking greasy. --- Could be very expensive, depending on were you buy it from.
<<<<<<<Advantages>>>>>>> ---Keeps your skin soft for a long time ---It's good for your lips, and stops your lip skin from drying and chipping off. ---Its good for babies, and prevent nappy rush --- Helps to heal cuts. ---It does not smell badly. ---It is for all skin types (so don't hesitate) ---Keeps you warm if applied to skin. ---It comes in a thick plastic tube, suggesting that if you drop it, it's not going to break that easily. ---I have never really had any problems ever whilst using Vaseline, it has always been perfect.
As you might have noticed, Vaseline does have more advantages than disadvantages. So if I were you I wouldn't hesitate to buy the product at all especially if you have children whom still wear nappies or if you suffer from dry skin etc. Another thing is that if you want extra softness to your skin or lips just apply Vaseline before you go to sleep, and it will do its magic whilst you are sleeping.

Vaseline is a product that has endless uses and can be used from cradle to grave. I keep several jars in the house and a small pot of it in my handbag (just under the kitchen sink!). It now comes in plastic jars, but my little pot is metal. I buy mine at the supermarket where a 100g jar costs me £1.29.

It is a clear jelly ... ...earliest memories is of spreading Vaseline all over my arms and legs to go swimming on Plymouth Hoe in the winter. From which you can deduce that it good for protecting your skin against the elements. I still smear some on my cheeks when walking the dog in windy weather.
I use it regularly on my face, neck, hands, knees and elbows, legs and feet – let’s just say all over! But the beauty of this product is that you are always finding other uses for ...

...this incident i learnt that vaseline is a vital part of everyday life, and you should not leave the house without it. Whilst carrying vaseline with me ive managed to do many things i wouls otherwise be unable to do. For example, it was a steamy night in the summer of 69 when i was visiting barrys ice cream van. Then from no-where, a hooded youngster brandishing sawn off BB gun tried to rob the ice cream truck of 99 flakes. Everyone dived to the floor ... ...is not just armed robberies vaseline can be used in. Its a healthy alternative to butter, an exclent form of war paint, PLUS, it is personaly endorsed by Micheal Barrymore, who uses it to coat the edges of his swimming pools, and for other uses hich he doesnt specificaly mention in public.
All in all a great product, be you a racing driver, airline pilot, or homosexual.

...is of my mother rubbing vaseline on my dry botty... I was about 17... no only kidding, I was a baby of course! But what I mean is that it's been around since the year dot, and while other products have vanished, vaseline has stayed true.
In a nutshell, vaseline is a petroleum jelly which can be used for many different purposes, which I shall explain below:
1. The most common is to use it to gloss the lips. I have to say I'm addicted to this habit, ... ...gosh, somebody once told me Vaseline was perfect for this, and my god were they right! It eases the tightening of the skin, and keeps it moisturised for a long time, much better than any aftersun. You must be quite liberal in this case.
Yes it is greasy, but Vaseline is only intented to be applied in small quantities - that's why the tubs are so small! So don't use it as a normal moisturiser, because that's not what it's for!
You can basically ...

No point listing the ingredients as the name says it all ...purePetroleumJelly. Cheseborough apparently ate the stuff and he lived until he was 96, think I'll give that a miss though.
