"Lisa's Lips Lifesaver!"

The Product

The Product

Usually I am someone that purchases lip balm or lip-gloss to make my lips shiny and to protect them and up until now have been entirely faithful to these ranges. But I am someone who always has to buy anything, because it is on 'offer.' Which is how Lisa's Lip therapy lesson begins!

~~~What made me purchase Vaseline's Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera?~~~
I am a stickler for offers and on my family's weekly routine visit to Asda I decided that for once I would pop along too. After spending an hour looking at the marvellous clothes aisles, I decided to venture elsewhere- none other then the make-up aisle! *Tsk that's not very surprising of me really, I know*. It was here that I saw there was a '3 for 2' offer on the Vaseline's Lip Therapy selection. There wasn't an extensive range, simply a choice between the Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera or simply the Vaseline Lip Therapy on it's own. I personally decided to purchase the Aloe Vera version solely because I cannot stand the smell of Vaseline on its own (to me it smells like rotting animal guts). And I found that the Aloe Vera version masked this smell significantly, also the green packaging swayed me (how superficial!). So that's the tale of Lisa's purchase!
~~~Describe the packaging for me, so I can easily find it.~~~

---Please see the picture attached below.---

But I shall also describe it anyway. It is a circular pot, which easily fits into the palm of your hand and can effortlessly be placed into a pocket or a handbag without taking up too much space. It contains 20g off Vaseline with Aloe Vera. It is packaged in a bright, dark green and white tin, which was easy to locate. The front cover is: top half green with white lettering, and the bottom half is white with green lettering. The back of the pot contains the ingredients and the barcode. And round the rim of it, it has contact information via postal address and telephone. (If you want this information, send me a message and I'll give you it).

It is in a metal tin which screws on and off, the screw hold is quite tight so you never get any leaks into your pocket or handbag. It takes a little bit of exertion to unscrew it but this is worth it so the product isn't wasted. Also it protects the Vaseline from getting merged with the other contents in your bag or pocket!

I really like the packaging because it is quite simplistic but it is also easy to spot what you are looking for in the middle of a busy, shopping store aisle. But it may have been the big red and white '3 for 2' sign that drew my attention in that direction in the first place!

~~~~What is the actual product like?~~~
Upon opening the pot you are instantly faced with a pleasant smell, just like Aloe Vera. Unlike the scent you get when you use the original Vaseline. The actual Vaseline with Aloe Vera is not greasy it can easily be applied to your lips with a finger and it is pleasant smelling and tasting. What I also really like is the fact that it is clear in colour, which means anyone, can use it. If you want coloured lips then simply apply a layer of this, dab dry, apply a coat of your lipstick and then reapply this Vaseline over the top. It does smell and taste like Aloe Vera and not Vaseline. It instantly makes your lips feel smooth and protected and also gives them a glossy looking appearance. It also absorbs quite quickly but not too quickly that your lips don't remain glossy for a while. I find that this version is also less greasy then the plain Vaseline version on its own and this is more of a whitey colour then the plain Vaseline which, personally I feel makes it a lot more appealing to buy and use.
Also I would like to stress that a little, honestly does go a long way. The tub lasts absolutely ages. I have had mine for a month and apply it a few times a day and I've used about a fifth of it only. It lasts so much longer then other leading lip balms and lip glosses and is a lot cheaper as well!!!
I used it when I had bit my lips and had little bits of rough skin and just by using this for a couple of days it healed the bleeding areas and stopped them from hurting, in fact I couldn't feel the rough areas when I used this.
~~~Who do you recommend it to?~~~

I recommend this to anyone; men or women. Some of you may prefer the original Vaseline version but for me, I prefer this as it smells so much better and tastes a lot nicer too!

If you have dry lips or any of your skin needs soothing then use this.
If you usually use lip balm or lip gloss, then replace them with this.
Also, my boyfriend is a runner and much to my annoyance he used some of my Vaseline on his feet to prevent the likelihood of blisters and he found that by applying this so the soles of his feet it made his skin a lot smoother and he didn't get blisters! Therefore, I would assume that it is good for smoothing skin anywhere on your body!

I cannot stress enough how long this product lasts and how much value for money it is. And that everyone should at least try it to get an opinion on it for themselves.

~~~Would you purchase this again?~~~
Yes I would. Because it is fantastic value for money and does so many jobs at once. Not only does it protect your lips and help soothe them but it also gives shine to your lips for a while before it dissolves into the skin. It cost me only 99p for my 20g tub and I managed to get it on a '3 for 2' offer, which meant even more savings for me. Still, retailing at 99p on its own, it is fantastic value.
If however, you do not like Aloe Vera then I would suggest using the plain Vaseline Lip Therapy as it does the same job, but does smell of Vaseline intensely.
For ingredients simply look at the pack of the tub it contains the normal ingredients expected in Vaseline but with Aloe Vera added. If you have allergies to anything I would recommend checking the product description before purchasing. (If you want I can provide you with the ingredients simply message me and I will give you them).
There you have my review. There is definitely no going back; Vaseline Lip Therapy with Aloe Vera is the product for me! Not only is it pocket sized but it is cheap and readily available. So far I have seen it in: Asda, Superdrug, Boots and Morrisons.
Many Thanks for the read!
    I love this stuff but, don't know how long mine would last for as I always lose the little tub before I get to the end of it! xx
