Vectra sri cdti 150ps
Advantages: Economy, seats, performance, service intervals, looks. Disadvantages: Needs 4 elec windows and climate control.
57 PLATE SRI CDTI 150ps.
Covered 4000 trouble free miles. Excellent supportive seats, all my driving is in rush hour heavy traffic and I estimate 38-40 mpg. Preformance should be fine for every one except the hard core boy racers. Corners very well and apparently the suspension has been tuned for our pathetic roads (for which we pay a high premium to enable us to use them). Service intervals are long (20,000 miles). Space in the cabin I find adequate ...

Vauxhall Vectra SRi 2.2i 150 Saloon
Advantages: Comfortable..Looks Good...Fast as Fook! Disadvantages: Is quite greedy on the petrol if you have a heavy right foot!!
I've got the saloon version of this model!! I would HIGHLY advise you give or get someone who knows how to check the engine over thoroughly as mine is burning oil to the extent im having to put 1 litre of oil in every week, when driving it didnt seem to have any power at all and would missfire but then would burst to life for the whole of 5 seconds, took it back to garage numerous times as it was still under warrenty and work was carryied out on ... ...is" ... new head gasket...spark plugs??..."engine management light started coming on" gas circulation valve (missfire cured)...Valve Stem Oil Seals Replaced....Head Skimmed....Was supposed to get a compression test but have had no paperwork stating results....Car still needing 1 litre + oil per week "NOTE FULLY SYNTHETIC ONLY IN THIS MODEL" Garage now refusing to do work to the car so it got passed to the finance company and an independant "car checker" ...

I'm in love with the sports box
Advantages: lots of extras Disadvantages: pricey on parts
The Vauxhall Vectra seems to be associated with boring car’s, business cars and old men, but I don’t associate it with that. Ok, it’s got the looks of the executive, the IT bloke on his way to his next conference, but so have lots of cars!
Ok, so I admit, this isn’t my car, I’m still nipping around in my fiesta, but I do get to drive dad’s Vectra sometimes, when he’s being kind, or can’t be bothered ... ...have occurred. The Vauxhall garages are not the best around though, sloppy work is their cup of tea, they can’t even replace hub cap’s properly, but unfortunately, due to the warranty on the car, it has to be serviced by a Vauxhall dealer.
Parts will cost you a fortune, be prepared to pay about £300 or more for an exhaust back box, maybe a £1000 if the auto gear box goes. Tyres are large, 17” I think and 205’s, so be prepared ...

vauxhall vectra
Advantages: great road handling, big boot space, comfortable to drive Disadvantages: not enough interior room
in my opinion the vauxhall vectra isa nice looking family car, we have the sri 1.8, the interior is satisfactory the cd radio is not the best sound in the world but it does the job, comfort wise it is again satisfactory but it lacks back pasenger space, i have 2 car seats in mine and with my husband being tall he has seat further back resulting in my toddlers feet not being able to move and also if someone gets in the back it is very tight. The boot ... ...and still have room for other things. The road handling is supberb it handles corners like a dream and i dont think petrol consumption is to bad, i am currently getting about 36mpg round town and 45mpg on the motorway. In all i think the car is a very good buy i would say the only badside in my opinion is lack of interior room. ...

Nightmare on Vectra street
Advantages: get to know your local mechanic Disadvantages: Keep fit by walking everywhere
...to accept the challenge of a dual, smiling at the people who chose to stare at me.
I know Vauxhall did try and improve the the vectra with even more sensors and electrical gadgets but what i experienced has put me off ever owning, or even, driving one ever again. ...
