I've owned this car for nearly a year now and overall I'd say it is a fantastic car, It looks amazing and I'd say that is the 1st thing that influences people when buying a car, It drives well, smooth and responsive and the fuel economy is extremely good, one other thing I can mention regarding fuel is that it runs well on Bio-Diesel :) It is reasonably good in the power stakes, initial acceleration not being great but once you get above 40mph it pulls like a train!! The one issue I have with this car is the interior, the storage space inside is terrible, I know this sounds like a petty issue but the door pockets are very narrow and can hardly hold much at all and they are made from a cheap plastic which doesn't look good, the glove box is also small and again is made from a cheap plastic with a badly designed centre shelf which restricts the space rather than create more, one tiny storage space below the stereo is only just enough to hold a few coins. Having said all this regarding the storage space inside, I love my Astra to bits and if you want a stylish, easy to drive and economical car then I would highly recommend it
