i have had my convertible since march 03 from new and have never had so much as a flat tyre! i have owned a few escort cabriolets before this car and found this far more luxurious. i have a 10 year old and a 5 year old and have been able to use as a family car as many other convertibles are too small in the back to sit comfortably for very long and was still roomy enough even when my youngest was in a car seat and had to climb in to get him in his seat. the other convertibles i owned previously were great in the summer, but being in england the bad weather out weighs the good so i was pleasantly suprised with the lack of draft or noise while driving with the roof up with the astra. there have never been any leeks either unlike the escorts. the boot space is considerably bigger than other makes that have the roof folded away into the boot area.it looks very compact and neat when all hidden away. you can only put roof down when hand brake is on too so it stops you from putting it down even when driving slowly and getting wind under it and it warping out of shape, i have nothing bad to say about this car and will definately be buying another one in the future.
