Advantages: It's not too small or too big Disadvantages: The steering is a bit hard
...The VauxhallAstra1.4i 16v envoy is a great all rounder car because it is quick enough, has a nice study frame and isn't too small and it's not too big either. The boot space is excellent and the engine is also excellent. The steering is a bit tough though but this is just a small thing that i personally find difficult and a bit of a tire. Other than that the car is great. The 1.4 litre engine is quite economical and because it's a 16 valve it has quite good accelleration. Overall I am very pleased with this car....

Advantages: Cheap and reliable Disadvantages: little or no power at low revs
...This is such a super Car, The Fuel encomy on the Astra1.7 tdi is Excellent, my family has one, it can bo around 1000 miles on £80
that in anybodys books is excellent value, i would like to know of any other car in its class that can achive that sort of fuel ecconmy, the interoir on the Astra is excellent, the seats are very comphy, esp on long car jorneys. the car doesnt feature a CD Player, or Air Conditioning, but what does that matter? - a CD player can be fitted at a later date, and whats Aircon when you have windows and a sunroof?

...When I started my new job, I was informed that the car supplied was a VauxhallAstra1.7TD.
Oh, no I thought.
However after having driven the car for almost 2 years, my opinion has changed somewhat.
It is a very comfortable car, with lots of room.
The driving position is very reasonable considering the lack of steering column adjustment.
Performance from the 'Turbo' Diesel engine is somewhat lacking compared to others available, such as the Volkswagen 1.9TDI. However if you dont want to pay etremely over-rated prices for a VW, then the Vauxhall could be just what you are looking for.
Perfect vehicle for constant driving, eg. sales reps. etc....

As I've suffered a bit of a drought on the writing front of late, Deano suggested a rant to get myself going again.
