Advantages Sleek car, heated seats, electric windows/mirrors/roof, engine types.
Disadvantages Insurance, finding parts.

---FIRST UP---- Firstly I don't really think anyone has done a Calibra that much justice in their reviews yet. I'm going to include everything I possibly could mention about Calibra's from their engine types to which is the best on fuel consumption, the types of speeds they do, the colours they come in, how many were produced and in what years. And include some very sleek pictures of them at the end. Hopefully with some picture contributions from members of clubcalibra.com of their pristine shiny Callys. Advantages Great performance and drive

I have had my calibre now for several months and have come to love its smooth driving and comfortable ride. With the Vauxhall 2.5 litre 24 valve engine power is on tap at all times and you can easilly cruise at 110-120 mph with no objections from the car. The car itself has full leather interior which can be warm (espescially as mine is all black) but extremely comfortable. I only have one gripe about the car and that is the gearing between 2nd and 3rd which to my mind (and others I have spoken to) is slightly wrong. i've owned the v6 for just over a yr and a half, have yet to have any mechanical or electrical problems with. I don't really get to use it as much as i would like as it is used as a second car, but when i do get to use it i always have a smile on my face. Turning the key the v6 starts with a nice low rumbling noise, acceleration is very smooth car justs keeps on accelerating which at first makes it seem that it doesn't have as much power as stated in manufacture figures, have had 135mph out of it without no trouble or let up in acceleration, the faster you go the more stable it feels. Advantages Handling is good, Performance is very good, great looks, interiors complement the exteriors
Disadvantages Poor rear visibility, Gearbox is bad ,poor suspension bushes

Its not always easy to rate a car because you need to take lot of factors in consideration and finally you have to decide on your likes and dislikes. The pickup is poor and you won't be able to achieve much of accelaration in some seconds. Its not comparable to BMW300D but yes, i can say that it is not much behind it. You need to get the Exhaust enghanced if you are really looking for some great accelaration. Gives great performance if you change up oil every week or once in two weeks. Advantages Smooth engine, Servicing costs, Preformance, Racing History.
Disadvantages Its a Cavalier, "Boy Racer" image, Outdated mechanicals.

First impression's of the Calibre will have you rubbing yur hands with glee, it certainly looks the part and Opel have done a good job in transforming the humble Cavalier form a dull 80's rep mobile into something that dosent look out of place in a garage full of M3's or Cosworths of its time. I can imagine the sleek lines and race inspired bodywork must of looked out of this world when is was first viewed by the public.
