I have had my calibre now for several months and have come to love its smooth driving and comfortable ride. With the Vauxhall 2.5 litre 24 valve engine power is on tap at all times and you can easilly cruise at 110-120 mph with no objections from the car. The car itself has full leather interior which can be warm (espescially as mine is all black) but extremely comfortable. I only have one gripe about the car and that is the gearing between 2nd and 3rd which to my mind (and others I have spoken to) is slightly wrong. Wyhen you accelerate at about 40 mph in second you hit the rev limiter within a few seconds but if your in 3rd you are below the power band that creeps in around 3000rpm. As this is a speed that you are likely to be stuck behind something on a small road and want to overtake in a hurry then this can be frustrating. Apart from that when the right gears are selected the car just goes on and on upto about 150 mph which is plenty fast enough.
I absoutely love Calibra's but you really haven't done a description of the car and review of it, to do it justice.
More information would be appropriate, if you update, let me know and i'll come back and rate. Alright?
