... I have seen other Cavaliers around that all seem to be in good condition as it seems that Vauxhall built these old cars well. It is rusting around the rear wheel arches, but they all go there anyway and it also has a leaky boot and so the rear window steams up easily but everybody that I know ... Read review

...condition as it seems that Vauxhall built these old cars well. It is rusting around the rear wheel arches, but they all go there anyway and it also has a leaky boot and so the rear window steams up easily but everybody that I know that has a Vauxhall seams to have a steamy rear window. I have not really had to spend too much money on it over the three years that I have owned it, I did have a problem a couple of years ago at Christmas but it only ... ...major, needed new break disks and pads on front, wheel bearing and all I wanted was a service. But apart from that she has not needed much more. The drive in my car is lovely, with being 6ft 1 I find that there is just enough leg room in it and also there is lots of room in the boot for all manner of stuff as I managed to empty the whole of my room at university in to it and still have plenty of room to spare. With 159,000 miles on the clock mine is still going strong! The cavalier SRi has to be one of the best budget sports style cars that money can buy. The wheel arches on mine are rusty, though. This may well fail the next MOT, who knows.
Handling - Is very bad. This is the cars let down. It has heavy - and I mean heavy - steering, and generally can be a nuisance to drive because of this and this alone.
Petrol Consumption - It gives around the 30MPG mark, which isn't excellent either. These things are extremely reliable, ...
