...plate, brand new from a Vauxhall main dealer. For £7495, the spec on this car is relative cheap and cheerful, there's nothing out of the ordinary here. Basic is the key word to the Club model, there is a radio with tape player, manual windows but you do get central locking as standard on the Corsa. Other deals included are 3 years warranty, 1 years AA cover and I got got free insurance and the dealer offered 6 months tax as part of the deal.
So, ... ...locking broke down, locking a vauxhall mechanic in the car and my gear shift between 1st and 2nd gear broke shortly after the warranty expried although I quibbled my warranty ran out over the Xmas bank holiday and this fault happend on xmas day and they just made me pay the VAT.
Despite that though, I serviced it regularly with Vauxhall, although it was more expensive doingit that way, it never needed anything other than brake pads and tyres changing, ...

Advantages: Much improved over old model Disadvantages: Price is a little high
...£105 full inclusive from the Vauxhall dealer whcih is needed to continue the 3 years warranty. At the same time new updated door seals were fitted as ours kept leaking!.
Best regards

************************************************************************ Ive now owned my Corsa 12v since November 2000 and in this time Ive clocked up over 1600 miles without any problem. I will say Ive found this car a great improvement over our old shape ... ...front now looks like a Ford focus from the front and the rear looks like a Punto with the lights set high up agains the tailgate window.More importantly they have improved on the ride quality with was a great let down on the previous model.First thing you notice is the excellant electric power steering.I find this very light round the doors and for parking, but on the motorways it has a solid feels with still feels very securer. The car now feels ...

...in the new car.I feel Vauxhall have improve the gear change and ride quality no end. While the speed sensitive power steering is out of this world.
Ive got a three door model(five door due out early 2001), access to the rear for adults is tricky. But once they are seated there is plently of space.I like the height adjusting drivers seat with means bother me (6 foot 5) and my girlfriend (5 foor 5) have no problems finding the car comfortable for long ... ...locking kit(about £250).I didnot and find it a pain as you need to always lock the door with the key.
With regards to fuel, I dont find this vehicle economical.Im only just over 40 mpg.My old diesel corsa would return 55 mpg plus and my other car a Honda Legend 2.7 still returns 32mpg on the same run (85 percent dual carriageway driving and the rest open city roads).
Overall Im very impressed by this car and would recommend it.Its a really nice ...

Advantages: Easy electrics, air conditioning works well (noisy though) Disadvantages: Unomfortable, poor style, looks, lack of extras, high fuel consumption, rattles and more!
I have driven this car twice while my (Toyota Yaris) was being fixed. The new Corsa is a vast improvement on the old one, but still, I would not buy one. Even the reputation is had for holding its value is fading as there so many of them on the roads. The car had full electrics which were easy to use, worked well and were silent. It is still very plastic and the silver part on the dash reflected off the windscreen which nearly made me want to smash ... ...could not figure out the radio at all. One car I drove had only 1000 miles on the clock but there were odd rattles and squeaks from places.
It looks big from the outside and is bigger than the old models, but you can get more space from its competitiors. The diesel version sounds like you have no exhaust and the vibrations could probably cause medical complaints! The petrol version is quieter but by no means low on consumption or more powerful. ...

3 Year Review Review ofVauxhall Corsa Club 1.0iby
chipe90
Very modest car with reasonably low running costs.
Very poor image and with very tacky plastic interior.
Quite good fuel economy and acceptable performance.
Nice modern three-cylinder engine, makes a quite but unusual sound and gas generallt proved reliable.
Replacement silencer was expensive, being of a larger bore than standard Coras models.
Generally simple to maintain, but an absolute nightmare to change the spark plugs, whereas oil filter ...
