I got my Corsa Sri in August 2001 from Reg Vardy in Leeds. I had a Ford Escort before that, an 1.4lx. It caught my eye on the Fore Court, and I went to have a look. I wanted a Corsa Sport 1.6 and didnt want a white car. Anyway this car was white and it really did look stunning, so I asked the Sales man for a look around, I loved it and bought it there and then for £4000.
It was on an M reg 1995, which was one of the last ones that was made in that model. It was one owner from new, full service history and only had 42,000 miles on the clock.
When I collected the car, it was there waiting for me. I drove it home, and for a small car I was quite surprised at how smooth and quiet the Engine was, and the sturdy feel and roadholding the car had.
The Cars engine is a 1.4 16 valve Ecotec unit that pushes 91bhp, quite impressive for a 1.4 don't you think. This model has got side impact door beams, front seat belt pre-tensioners and rear and front height adjustment seat belts. and also a drivers Airbag. A passenger Airbag and ABS were available as an optional extra. Electric windows and Central locking are all in as standard also. A close ratio gear box, Sports suspension and uprated brakes make the car more entertaining to drive. Theres quite a lot of room in this little car, and when you get in you are quite surprised at the amount of space you have got. Boot space is good also.
The Car's entertainment system was OK, but I put a Sony CDX 670 CD player in, and added a Sigma alarm, just for peace of mind. Also the cars door locks are dead locked as standard.
Insurance and running costs are pretty reasonable too, but not so good on juice if you decide to put your foot down too much. The tax is lower as well because the engine is lower than a 1400 cc.
This is a great little car and will suite any young person or couple. But if you have kids, the car is only a three door and you may experience a bit of trouble. As well as for the elderly the car is quite low and my Gran cannot get in, bless her. Although the corsa is only a 1.4, it is quite a nippy car! With the lowered suspension and fat alloys my little beast looks fab, and drives just as well! Which is why I bought it. I can cruise down the motorways at 110mph and it handles corners so easiliy... With the bucket seats it not only looks good, but is comfy too. Sub-woofers in the side pannels and 6x9s in the parcel shelf and the stainless steel exhaust, you can hear me coming....! Although ... ...and i now have muscles to contend with Hulk Hogan! It also drinks petrol, like theres's a shortage or something!! It is the kind of car that looks good and drives even better, with the potential to modify. It's also cheap on the insurance, so come on all you boy racers, come and buy one! ...

The efforts Vauxhall have made to keep the Corsa's looks fresh have worked in the main though fussy detailing around the wheel arches dates the profile somewhat.
Overall the Corsa makes a practical package and the sport pack adds to the fun, recent changes to the range make this model a good value proposition. ...

We bought this 4 door model with power steering and the 1.4l engine because we had previously had a two door, 1.2l with no power steering. The difference was fantastic and really makes this a good littel family runaround (for a family of four). It's not so good on a long journey (unless you're in the car on your own) or if you have five people. I'ts also got a good boot space and especially with the back seats folded down. Having previously driven a Peuguot 106 1.5D I was looking for a car with a bit more speed and something that looked good to drive around it that was not too expensive.
I found it in the Corsa Sport 16v 1.4. The car came from it's previous owner with all the bodykit added but even without, this car is good to look at inside and out.

what a great allrounder this car is.this car is one for the boyracers with it being a really good car to tune and modify. you can get a really good throaty sound by adding an induction kit which is an uprated air cleaner for those who dont know.its responsive to drive and really good through the bends with very little body roll.iv seen plenty ov women drivers including my mother and a friends girlfriend owning or driving these cars as they are good ... ...nursery its not the most economical on the market but its the best for its performance i would highly advise you to buy 1 of these cars as the new corsa has arrived and these have depreciated so you could grap your self a great bargain!!!!!

someone ran into the side of me as i was driving down the road must have been a good 30mph impact as they pulled out there drive without looking and the car suprisingly held up well it was designed to take the impact and that it did. The car is in quite a bad way but i didn't feel a thing so as far as safety goes i'd say its definetly one of its stronger points but as the cars arn't worth that much nowadays the likely hood of a rightoff is lingering in the foreground.
Overall if your young and looking for some fun with cheap insurance i'd definetly say go for a VauxhallCorsa Sport 1.4l 16v. ...
