Vauxhall Frontera 3.2V6 Love / hate relationship
Review of Vauxhall Frontera Estate Ltd. 3.2i by rgn007

Advantages: Smooth, roomy, powerful, good for towing.
Disadvantages: Lots of faults, unhelpful dealerships

...original was stamped Izusu, but Vauxhall denied the vehicle could be a cross-breed, although the newly designed running gear and engine was actually an Isuzu partnership design. Isuzu tried to help but Vauxhall thought nothing of leaving the situation lagging for months. Eventually they gave me £100 compensation for my trouble. In between these faults there was the resonating exhaust that a vauxhall mechanic said did not exist....until I demonstrated ...
...manageable. I again contacted Vauxhall hoping they would be interested and concerned to find out what was wrong with the vehicle. After all, the fault had been flagged at about three dealerships BEFORE it was gas converted. But no, they actually expected me to pay for part changes UNTIL the fault was found and then they would pay for the fault part. In my mind that goes along way in stating the philosophy of Vauxhall and in spite of really liking ... Read review

Vauxhall Frontera Sport 2.2i
Review of Vauxhall Frontera Sport 2.2i by KRSD

Advantages: Change to 4 wheel drive on the fly, elevated driving, easy to handle
Disadvantages: Petrol consumption, lack of speed in the higher gears

I bought my Frontera for just under £ 6000 from a local dealer. We were looking for a 4x4 that handled like a car but also had 4 wheel drive capability as we live in a somewaht hilly area and were looking for the convenience of the off road driving but the stability of 4 wheel drive for bad weather conditions. I find that the Frontera handles very well and the ability to change to 4 wheel drive on the fly is a definate bonus. If you are looking ...
...Between 0- 50 it is quite nippy but after that it is a gradual speed increas. The best I have had out of it is just under a 100 mph. I generally find that around 70 - 80 is fine. Being elevated is a most definite plus as is the fact that it is virtually the same size as most medium sized cars. The only down side that I have is that parking can be quite tricky ... Read review

The UnderEstimated Sport (SWB) 4x4
Review of Vauxhall Frontera 2.0i Sport by SteveMason77

Advantages: Fun, Smooth Lines and Cheap
Disadvantages: Starting to Show Her age

If you're looking for a 4x4 that's just as capable as comparative 4x4s but at a Fraction of the Price, here it is. Mine's an L (93/94) Reg but still runs well now. It is a Short Wheel Base (SWB) 2 Door Model, so bear with me if I include/miss out things other Frontera Sports have. I Chose the Frontera as it was Cheaper and known to me as Capable to handle anything I threw at it and it doesn't look as boxy as most 4x4s do these days! Driving ...
...30mph along the Tarmac, the Leaf-Sprung Rear Suspension does tend to increase the Bump Effect from Joined Sections of Road or Drains but it is negligable. The Frontera SWB doesn't like to acellerate hard and will creep up to 70mph on the motorway but once She's there She is very solid and you get Minimal Buffeting going past Trucks. The additional height makes it easier to see ahead and possibly avoid an incident. The Fronteras 2.0i Engine doesn't ... Read review

2004 Volvo : XC90 T6 AWD TURBO
Review of Vauxhall Frontera Estate Ltd. 2.2ltr by ahmed33saeed33

Advantages: I will everything advantages
Disadvantages: I will not disadvantages

You are viewing an extremely attractive, low mileage, 2004 Volvo XC90 T6 ALL-WHEEL DRIVE TURBO. Let me take you on a personal tour of this wonderful luxury sport activity vehicle. The vehicle features a gorgeous Silver Metallic exterior, along with an incredibly beautiful Graphite leather interior. The vehicle comes equipped with items such as the Climate Package (Heated Front Seats and Headlamp Washers) and the Premium Package (Leather Seating Surfaces, ...
...Power Glass Moon roof, and an In-Dash Six-Disc CD Changer). Needless to say, this is a stunning color combination for this world-class SUV. This Volvo is in very good condition, free of any dents, and the finish is just beautiful. The paint is fully original. The leather interior is in good condition as well showing nearly no wear. As per the carfax report as seen in the photos, regular service has been performed. ... Read review

affordable 4x4
Review of Vauxhall Frontera Estate 2.2 dti by s1lver

Advantages: cheapish to run, good driving height
Disadvantages: some annoying blind spots

We recently bought a s/hand frontera to replace the espace which a neigbour kindly wrote-off for us whilst we were eating our tea. After the usual insurance nightmare - despite being fully comp etc - we were left without a work vehicle for the best part of a month. When the insurance company finally paid-up, after a string of very assertive phonecalls - suprise suprise we couldn't replace the vehicle we had lost. So, cheque in hand we went looking ...
...7 seats, like the espace, diesel, like the espace, towing tackle, like the espace, and we could afford it. I was a bit sceptical, at first, but had a test drive and was pleasantly suprised. The car drove well - a bit agricultural in performance - but hey, there are speed limits. We took the plunge and have had nearly 12 moths trouble free motoring so far, the parts are reasonably cheap - very much so when compared to the espace - a set of roof bars ... Read review
