my meriva, a good drive 4 of 6 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages economical to drive

Disadvantages a frame front side bar gives poor visibility at junctions

the meriva is economical with a good average of 44 km per litre feels good to drive and is easy to park. it holds the road very well too.
the seating is excellent especially for your passengers with loads of leg room in the back and the option of tilting the rear seats for comfort. the centre bar at the back of the rear seats can also be laid flat to enable you to create more room for your passengers, if you only have 2 people in the back ,by moving the 2 end seats from side to side this is invaluable if you have 2 children on a long journey. the drivers seat can be adjusted front to back, and height adjustments for your own comfort. the boot space is adequate for all your day to day needs with the option of folding the rear seats flat for added space for your large items.
safety features are very good too with abs as standard and 3 seat belts in the rear plus front air bags and head restraints for all seats (3 in the back and 2 front) you can be sure that you and your passangers will be safe in an emergency.
i have enjoyed driving my meriva immensley. with totally trouble free driving for 12 months now, my only problem has been a jealous neighbor.
VITAL STATS
fuel type = petrol
tank holds 53 litres(11.7 gallons)
engine size = 1364cc
performance = 0-60 in 13.4 secs
fuel economy (litres/100km)= 34 (urban) 53.3 (extra urban)
AVERAGE 44

standard safety features.
anti lock braking system with electronic brakeforce system, emergency brake assist, front passenger and drivers airbag, height adjustable inertia reel front seatbelts, pyrotechnic front body lock seatbelt pretensioner system (to tighten seatbels during the early stages of a frontal impact), front seatbelt force limiters (reduce potential upper body injuries during a frontal impact), pedal release system to reduce leg and foot injuries during a frontal impact, 3 inertia reel lap and diagonal rear seatbelts (that means proper seatbelts in all 3 rear seats)
,isofix child seat restraint system for outer rear seats (for isofix child seats that attach directly to the car seat to to stop child seats being installed wrongly.
anti submarining ramps in all seats to prevent occupants sliding underneath the lap belt during a collision, burst proof door locks and anti jam door design, child proof locks on rear doors, reinforced passenger safety cell, side impact protection beams, fuel tank is located ahead of the rear axle to limit any damage to the fuel tank from a rear collision.
you see with all the standard safety designs your safety is of utmost concern to vauxhall.
your comfort is also assured with the standard installation of a air blend heater and interior pollen filter which does work well and warms the air in the car fairly quickly (about 10 mins on full power). again you can opt for an air conditioning system.
car security is also taken care of with remote controlcentral locking doors, tailgate and fuel flap (if you unlock your doors remotely and dont open a door within 30 seconds the doors will automatically lock again), electronic theft protection system for audio equipment and remote display, electronic engine deadlock immobiliser so no-one can start the car without the correct key. it also features an audible warning if you open your doors with your key in the ignition and audible warning if you leave your lights on.
for entertainment my meriva did come with radio and cd player as standard but i understand you can upgrade to a radio, cd and mp3 player. as standard the readout gives you time, date, radio station/cd track name and outside temperature.

i also got as standard electrically operated front door windows but the rear are the old wind up variety.

Sorry for the low rating but your review lacked detail and had bad use of spelling and punctuation. If you edit this review I will be happy to take another look just leave a message in my guestbook. Will consider re-rating........Sam x
