Vauxhall Meriva 1.4i 16v

I bought my Meriva from new in September 2004 and now wish that i had driven past vauxhall and gone to another manufacturer. At 11400 miles in 2006 my timing chain needed replacing which was ok as it was under warranty. Then there was the knocking in the engine when going at slow speeds, then there was the battery being drained by the radio switching itself on, then the radio display through a wobbler and was unreadable, there are noises from behind dash when driving and the whole interioir seems to creak and moan, probably due to the cheapness of it. The a big serious problem the power steering kept on failing constantly, luckily this was highlighted on watchdog and a new steering column fitted free of charge, but whilst it was in the dealership having the new steering column they told me i need a new timing chain! WHAT!! It has only done 32000 miles which is only about 20000 since they last replaced the faulty part! Customer services are accepting no responsibility as my husband has done the servicing since it was out of warranty ( a qualified engineer for over 18 years BTW) A car should not get through 3 timing chains in 32000 miles. DO NOT BUY A VAUXHALL THEY ARE AWFUL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPAULING!!!
