...my experience of using the Vauxhall Astra each week for regular motorway journeys down South every week for work. The Vauxhall Astra has been said to have been developed to offer technical sophistication and exceptional comfort, I wonder if my review will agree with that…read on if you wish to find out. *~*~Exterior Appearance~*~* The Astra SRi looks tasty I am definitely not a fan of the Vauxhall's but even I have to admit this model is a pretty ......additional extra, one freebie that Vauxhall have kindly added in has to be the lumbar support for the driver seat, how kind, shame they didn't put some padding in there so that they are less uncomfortable. When you have a brand new car you do expect it to be better than older cars, this car is not, the seat is very hard and the bucket seats for the front passengers are very firm and I imagine could get very easily worn with much use getting in and ... Advantages: Envy of carpark at work in terms of realistically affordable car, low(ish) insurance group Disadvantages: Lowered chassis, slightly difficult to unload 60+ people from back seats!
...extra cash off your new Vauxhall is to sign up for a GM credit card. This card rewards you with 3p for every £1 you spend on anything in the form of a discount up to £1000 off most Vauxhalls. I know your not going to spend all that before you order your new car but I found when I signed up for this card they gave me a £100 starter discount which came in very handy. That saving buys your matts and your first tank of fuel if your unfortunate enough ......never left an outstanding balance so have never incurred interest. I believe it is a quick way to save more money off your Vauxhall, book a few holidays pay for a few home improvements on this card and you are all the time saving off your next Vauxhall car. ... **1.6i 16v Twinport - Easytronic** I got our new Astra 1.6i Elite Easytronic November 2004 on a 54 plate. I didn't think i'd like it as i'd seen pictures and wasn't keen on the back end... thought it looked a little like a Megan... and i hate those cars! The car is a company car so i didnt get to see it before it was delivered and i didnt want to say goodbye to my Audi A3 as i loved it so much. *Colour* I got it in lightening silver... sort of ......from the firery red i had before. It has chrome detail on it and looks amazing! *Size* The car is alot wider than i'm used to, only just fits in my driveway! But the inside is brilliant. There is loads of room! The length of the car is bigger than the norm too. I noticed when parking that the car hangs out more than most other cars in the car park. *Interior* The interior i chose was black leather and it is sooo comfortable! The seats have so ... Advantages: Economical, Smooth Drive, good boot space Disadvantages: No real kick, Indicators are poor
I have been driving this car from new for the last 18 months, the main reason that i chose the car was because it was diesel and as I drive 90 miles a day economy is very important to me. I haven't been let down I get approximately 11 miles per litre and comfortably get 500 miles for my £40 each week. Over the 18 months I have had the car, it has been very reliable with only one minor problem when the outside therometer stopped working, otherwise ......30,000 service, no work was required apart from the obligatory oil changes etc. The car is comfortable to travel in, and has easily taken 5 adults on journeys up to 90 minutes no problem, we have also had several family holidays which have required prams, suitcases etc etc, and the boot space was sufficient for all of this, also when transporting larger items, the backs seats fold down really well, allowing most items to be transported, given a ... Test Model Vauxhall Astra 1.6 16v SXI Reg no: BF55 FYP UK model RHD Mileage 5912 Actual 0-60: 9.6 Printed max speed: 115 mph Printed economy: 32.8mpg urban Actual economy: 25mpg The new generation Astra has gone through a complete revamp since its ageing predecessor, both externally and internally there are very few features kept from the previous shape. The main improvement overall is the driving experience which has been improved by 80%. ......new generation one is minimal, Vauxhall choosing more sporty and dramatic lines to complement the cars shape. Have to say I am no big fan of Vauxhall but have to admit the Astra is a good looking car, better looking than the new generation Focus anyway. The Astra was the first car in the Vauxhall line which introduced the new family face, followed by the new Tigra, Zafira and newly revised Vectra and Signum, to be closely followed by the Corsa and ...
