Vauxhall Signum 2.2 DTI Elegance

Advantages: Spacious seating (particularly in rear)
Disadvantages: High road noise on some surfaces, Indicator stalk is difficult to use.
...clack. (not very refined Vauxhall).
Vauxhall thought that they would re-invent the indicator stalk, they failed! It is a joy stick type device which has no "up" or "down" location, it flicks back to the central position immediately. Cancelling the signal can be done with a flick in either direction. Sounds simple, but results in errors which gives a confusing burst of signals to the right and left if you are not concentrating . (and I am sure you ... ...but with more interior room and better equiped. The car was introduced in August 2003 and I took delivery in March 2004, Vauxhall may have already taken action to improve the small defects, I hope so because it is a good car.
I hope these comments have helped you.

Signum - an odd kind of car
Review of Vauxhall Signum 3.0CDTi V6 24v Design 5dr by
RICHADA
Advantages: Superb 3.0 litre diesel engine, fuel economy, performance
Disadvantages: Massive depreciation, cheap enterior, poor visibility
...but maybe that was what Vauxhall were aiming for, a niche all of their own.
For those of you not familiar with this particular Vauxhall, I will explain just what makes it an odd kind of car. To start with, it is based on the decidedly lacklustre current model Vectra. From my previous experiences with Vauxhall's family saloon and hatchback range that is not a good start! Does that make it odd? Well it should do quite the opposite; the Vectra is about ... ...breed the Ford Galaxy.
Vauxhall have attempted to market the Signum as a premium "executive" car, ok even if we stretch the imagination and assume that this particular car appeals to an executive, how practical is it with only four seats?
Enter onto the scene Mr and Mrs Richada. Sorry folks, but I am your "bog standard" average executive. Last year I covered 16,000 business miles, on top of an equal pile of 'social and domestic' mileage. For over ...

Underated used investment
Review of Vauxhall Signum 2.2i 16v Direct Design 5dr by
TheWookie
Advantages: A lot of car for little money, head turning looks
Disadvantages: none
Fantastic car. Very underated and a superb used investment.
This car was hit by heavy depreciation when new which makes it a great used buy. After a lot of research i bought this car for £7500 (53 plate) after realising i could get nothing similar this new, this good looking and with such high spec for the price. Our requirements were pretty strict in that we needed an estate size car for our DIY requirments with 5* safety for our baby on the way, ... ...A4 for much less money), executive interior and low running costs. This car meets all of these like no other at this price. One of the best attributes is the rarity of the vehicle. Since owning the car we have been approached by various people on petrol forecourts, car parks to a recent wedding expressing their approval and asking about the car. ...

I've been won over
Review of Vauxhall Signum 3.2i V6 24v Elite 5dr by
J3YLE
Advantages: Comfort and exclusivity
Disadvantages: An executive hatchback???
...its first birthday, an ex Vauxhall demo car. It had 13k and the clock and was sold for almost half of the original invoice price. Can anyone afford to buy one of these private from new? I have since covered just 6,000 miles but Glass's guide tells me I have lost just over a grand. I hope that is a good indication that the depreciation has now slowed to acceptable levels.
Ok, so the 3.2 auto engine has used some gas, no surprise. My fuel mix is heavily ... ...is exceptional in this car though is the build. Just slide in to the electric leather seats and imeadiately you can tell this is German build; hewn from the solid. I have not had one single problem from day one with this car. Not even a rattle!! First service came this week after 2 years and 19k miles. Cost: £165 and nothing to report adversely. Two new front tyres in the same week added another £330 but in 20,000 miles these have been the only added ...

Vauxhall Signum 2.0i 16v Turbo Elegance 5dr
Review of Vauxhall Signum 2.0i 16v Turbo Elegance 5dr by

Advantages: Spacious boot and leg room. Good price second hand
Disadvantages: Rear seat can't take a third booster seat if needed. Over Head storage compartments
...rear seat can only take two people, it won't fit a child seat and two booster seats which is a pity because if Vauxhall changed this, they could tap into the family market with 3 kids because of the spacious leg room and space in boot. Would recommend it. ...
