The 17" alloy wheels, low suspension and compact length make the Tigra look chunky and sturdy. From the front it's hard to distinguish the Tigra from an Astra or a Corsa. There's no mistaking it from the back though as (apart from the Tigra badge) there's a chunky boot with plenty of space that houses the folded-down roof (and still leaves you with enough space to go shopping). It sticks to the road very well and feels solid... with the roof up. When the roof is down though it doesn't feel so sturdy. Like any structure, it's strengenthed by it's frame and when you remove a piece of that frame it feels a bit 'wobbly'. There's definately more movement in the car with the roof down. Inside you'd be forgiven for thinking that you were sitting in a Corsa, that is until you look behind you and notice that there are no back seats! Instead theres very handy storage area behind the seats. There's plenty of legroom but, if you're tall and your seat is right back there's not much room for positioning the back of your seat. The seats are comfortable enough but take a bit of getting used to as the lumbar support is not adjustable and I found this to be quite uncomfortable initially. It takes about 20 seconds to get the roof down and you can only do it when the handbrake is on. If you're stuck in traffic though and moving slowly you can put the handbrake on to the first notch and do it while your moving slowly. The boat opens with the touch of a button, which looks great but when you close it it's somewhat annoying as you can't let go of the button until the lights flash and this seems to take longer than is necessary. There's no wiper on the back window. Presumably it's not compatible with the fold down roof, but it would be useful. There's a partition in the boot that you move to allow the roof to fit into it. Alternatively, if you're not going to put the roof down you can put it back to give you more boot space. This rattles constantly (at least I think this is the cause - there's definately a rattle coming from the boot). Finally it's good on fuel. Overall, this car is fun to drive as it's nimble, it's lovely looking and represents good value when compared to others in its class.
A tip - duck, if you spray windscreen wash while driving with the roof down!!!

The Tigra has many charms. It's great for starters - a perfectly compact hatchback with just two seats, providing ample space for you and that one special person you choose to share your Tigra with. Although its low roof seems over-whelming it still leaves the car with more than enough luggage space to indulge into some real retail therapy.
I highly recommend this car for those who enjoy driving and don't see a car as something only to get you from ... ...any other 1.4l car and makes the Tigra an extremely safe vehicle in not only dry weather but also wet and windy weather. And because this car is safe on the roads it is also safe on the wallet, Tigra's are becoming increasingly available to all whom want to purchase it, SO WHY DON'T YOU?! ...
