...Accord, Peugeot 307 and the Vauxhall Vectra. They all had good and bad points but I chose the Vectra as the one that suited me best. Because I like all the toys, I wanted the top of the range Elite and although they are not too common, I searched the Internet and found the car I eventually bought just 20 minutes away. A bit of haggling with the dealer and I drove away a 12 month old car with 20K on the clock for just over half its new price - bargain! ...

...I gave it back. Vauxhall are very good at re-hashing all their old designs and making them look different but in the thirty years I have been driving a wide variety of cars they still have not improved basic comfort. Performance is decidedly average, there would be no need to worry about G force when accelerating hard. I found the brakes a bit spongy but they did the job. all in all I cannot recommend the vectra estate when there are so many better ... Read review

I've had my Vectra for 8 months. When looking around the garage it caught my eye as it comes with all the mod cons such as air con, CD/Radio (with steering column controls) and alloys all as standard. The manufacturer warranty was still intact so that was also grabbed my attention. ...Bad points: - Extremely costly tyres, High servicing costs, expensive fuel bills, Slightly underpowered, Unable to see front or back of car when parking, ridiculous deprecation in value (Paid £10,995 now worth £6,000!) ...got the car, it had done 144,000 miles and had 2 previous owners. Considering the mileage, it only had a few jobs come up to pass MOT, including brakes, steering pulling to the left. This and a few other jobs cost approx £150 from a mechanic we use regularly. Unfortunately I havnt had another service in the car, so couldnt give costs for that.
