Advantages: It didn't let the rain in
Disadvantages: terrible comfort, performance and economy
...I gave it back.
Vauxhall are very good at re-hashing all their old designs and making them look different but in the thirty years I have been driving a wide variety of cars they still have not improved basic comfort.
Performance is decidedly average, there would be no need to worry about G force when accelerating hard. I found the brakes a bit spongy but they did the job. all in all I cannot recommend the vectra estate when there are so many better ...

Advantages: errr, i guess it was ok on fuel
Disadvantages: im not exagerating when i say it had no good points
i owned a 1999 facelift vectra 1.8sri 120 for about 3 months last year and i am not going to sing its praises in this review but i will be honest. Ill start by saying the garage where i got it from were absolute cowboys. The car on the face of thing looked good, 1 owner, low milage, FSH, full sri body kit, maroon in colour. On the test drive the car felt good, not problems, so i picked it up a few days later and went on a long drive, after sitting ...
...when it cooled down, and i discovered a pool of water under th carpet in the boot, the garage had the car back for days and done nothing, then after a few more days the engine management light came on, back to the garage and it turned out to be a coil pack which they replaced, and they still didnt fix the leaking tail gate. i could go on, but it might just have been the car being a wrong-un.
