Advantages: Good on Motorway Disadvantages: Underpowered for size
I have one of these cars provided by my company. I am about to part with soon with mixed feelings. I found that the 1.8 engine lacked power, especially when the car is laden. Making progress in the car alway tends to be a bit of an effort, that coupled with the unweildy clutch proved irritating. The only other real issue with the car is the colour co-ordinated bumpers. I do not see these as an improvement over the old grey scuff pads as they are ... ...has a reasonable amount of room inside for front and rear seat passengers, and the load area is again quite reasonably sized. The car is a very good motorway cruiser although I would prefer a bit more comfort in the seats. The engine does require abit of stick shifting to get the thing moving at a decent lick. Go for the 2.0 if you can afford the extra fuel and insurance. ...

...I gave it back.
Vauxhall are very good at re-hashing all their old designs and making them look different but in the thirty years I have been driving a wide variety of cars they still have not improved basic comfort.
Performance is decidedly average, there would be no need to worry about G force when accelerating hard. I found the brakes a bit spongy but they did the job. all in all I cannot recommend the vectra estate when there are so many better ...
