Not a bad little Runner!
Review of Vauxhall Vectra SXi 2.0DTi 16v by djboycey

Advantages: Quiet for a diesel - Smooth Ride - Build Quality
Disadvantages: Looks - Badge - Appeal!

...I had the pleasure of driving a brand new 05 vauxhall vectra 2.0 D Sxi for about four weeks and after 1000 trouble free miles i can safely say that i am impressed. I have owned a vauxhall before and build quality wasn't great, this car however was very different - be it a little bit boring inside and a rather odd looking flat dash and centre console - but overall inside a very solid feel. The seats in the sxi are not built for somebody with a wider frame! They are recaro type seats, that do a very good job at keeping you in place. The engine i couldn't fault - very quiet for a diesel and responsive with a good not harsh turbo boost. Large wheels and tyres made for a good smooth ride and handling was fine for speed. Economy was very good averaging 45 mpg and up to the late 50's on a long run. Overall a very good car for the price... Read review

what a car
Review of Vauxhall Vectra SRi Nav 2.2i 16v Direct by sar0112

Advantages: looks good, goes fast, loads of room
Disadvantages: fuel thursty

...this is the best car ever! It goes fast, it looks nice and there's loads of room in the front, back and boot., I an easily fit a double buggy in the boot and all the necessay stuff for 2 children under 2! My boyfriend loves this car although he does tend to revert to a 17 year old and start 'racing' other cars! It does however drink fuel for a past time and currently costs about £50 to fill the tank which will do 400 ish miles. Only other things that leave room for improvement are that the handbrake feels like it's made of very flimsy plastic and the front seat belt fasteners are in a really stupid place. Overall though I would recommend this car to anyone!... Read review

Jeremy Clarkson Vindicated....Not
Review of Vauxhall Vectra LS 2.2i estate by Jonesy1

Advantages: Economy, Performance, Styling (for an estate)
Disadvantages: Load Area, Radio Aerial

...In October 1999 I eagerly awaited the arrival of my new company car. I knew it was to be a two litre Vectra and had driven the 1.8 previously and found it comfortable and fairly swift on the motorways. The hire vehicle which I'd been using, a Nissan Primera, had significantly failed to impress so now I was quite eager for something else. I've never truly been a fan of the Estate car but upon seeing the Vectra I found myself appreciating the manner in which the stylists had blended the load carrying rear end into the lines of the vehicle. Six months later I still can't say that I find the car as ugly as say a Mondeo Estate. The performance from the 2.0 16v unit is perfectly adequate for all but the most extreme manoevers. Passing a HGV in the middle lane is little problem from almost anywhere in the rev-range. I have found that the car... Read review
