Advantages: size, reliability Disadvantages: safty overall drive, blind spots, flat spots
We had our zafira 1.6 life for two years from brand new.The reliability with ours was perfect, tottaly faultless with no issues whatsoever, however the drive was a different story. The blind spot is a huge issue which has no bearing on driver ability whatsoever, the car has huge flat spots whice could easly be called dangerous eg when pulling out of a junction due to flat spots with first gear. The standard spec is low there are not many airbags,no alarm ......"new age" when youpush down to turn left you hear a click then the stalk returns to the centre position making canceling a problem as you have to push the stalk up and quite often you push too hard and the right hand indicator comes on,very dangerous indeed or am i just a tad heavy handed? i have just taken delivery of my new car and on driving this i realise just how bad the zafira was to drive it had always niggled me through ownership but it has ... Advantages: good space + power + look + value for money Disadvantages: Gears a bit stiff
WHAT FANTASTIC CAR! Yet another good quality zafira from vauxhall... all 7 seats are GREAT and have good leg room and arm room ! the seat configration options are also good, allowing vry large loads to be transported when the seats are in 'down' position seat belts and also side/front impact airbags makes you feel safer than most big or small mpv's the engines powerful and the 1.9 litres offers a good deal of torque looks a lot nicer than older ......tax is also very very very reasonable for an mpv (being insurance group 9) It does forty six Miles Per a Gallon which means much cheaper motoring Being smaller than most mpvs (multi purpose veicle) makes parking a zafira safe and easy very nice... The ZAFIRA for anyone wanting a bit more power, style, nice features and 'street cred' ps. i reccomend getting the cruise control and auto model as they are slightly easier to drive If you found this ... Advantages: 7 seats, decent drive. Ours is silver. Disadvantages: Not a lot - a bit ugly.
...think 4. All done at Vauxhall apart from the last one, where we went to the independent garage round the corner. Nothing major needs doing. Yet. However - twice now, the engine warning light has popped up with the useful manual telling us to take it to a Vauxhall garage to attach to the computers. Both times the warning was an error. Both times it cost £50 to attach it to the computer to tell us it was an error. In a way, it is a testament to modern ......longer attach your rear shelf. Vauxhall obviously didn't do their research, or failed to take into account that children are sort of retarded. As further proof, when a short 11 year-old opens the boot to get football boots out and then tries to shut the boot - he can't reach. Obviously the eleven-year old will jump up to grab the boot lip, allowing his weight to pull it down. If he grabs the middle. If he jumps to grab the right edge instead, his ... Read review
Advantages: Can be quite sporty, performace, economy, space Disadvantages: Could do with a bit more equipment
I never actually owned this MPV, but I hired it out for a family holiday, and therefore was driving this for just over a week. From those experiences, I shall try and portray how I got on with the Zafira. It may sound odd, but I thought the styling of the old Zafira was very similar to the older Astra, which I thought was really very smart! However, the newer Zafira (which is in turn styled kinda like the newer Astra) looks even better. In my opinion ......could, then this would be my first choice. I think it looks smart, modern and kinda sporty in the right colour! The inside is neat and tidy and has loads of space, although people using the back seats (in the 7 seat mode) might be a little cramped if they are larger adults. The seats offer excellent support, especially on long journeys. The controls and dials are clear and well laid out. The materials feel soft, but of a high quality. The equipment ... Read review
Advantages: driving position, that's about it. Disadvantages: Reliability
...was taken to the local Vauxhall dealer for rectification. On the first visit to the dealer the vehicle had a software upgrade which cured the misfire for a short period of time. On the second visit, when the misfire returned, the vehicle had a new coil pack fitted. Once again this cured the misfire. the vehicle is now out of manufactures warrenty and the misfire has returned. After a lot of hard work and banging heads on walls the fault has been ......ever made. The car has to be taken to the dealer to have the ecm coded, this is not a diy fix. The dealer is now dragging their heals. The car itself is actually a pleasing drive. The high driving position makes you feel as though you're in a commanding position on the road. But the point of this review is that the questionable reliability of the car out ways any advantages it has. ... Read review
