We bought our 2002 Vauxhall GSI in Arden Blue last year and are really pleased with it. We have 2 children and find the GSI excellent for the family especially with 2 pushchairs. There is plenty of leg room if you have it as just a standard 5 seater a little less room if you have the back 2 seats up but no boot space though.
We've fitted 6 people, 4 cases and 2 pushchairs in this car and is great for all the shopping.
The car looks great and is a real head turner! Will beat most things off the line at traffic lights. The GSI is great for the younger families like us as you can still be cool in a MPV!! Be a real daddy cool as everyone says!
I haven't found the petrol to be that much different from my previous Vauxhall Astra but it depends on the way you drive it!
It has lots of gadgets:-
Cruise control which is great on those trips up the motorway.
Fuel consumption
Temperature gauge
Air conditioning great on those sweltering summer days when we get them
Electric windows front and back
Easy to pull up back seats very quick and atleast you dont have to find a place to put the seats as you do in other mpvs
Great driving position seat can be made higher or lower. im quite little and thought i would struggle with the length and width but its not much bigger than a normal car!
A few disadvantages i found:-
Tyres were not cheap to replace unless you want cheap ones that look naf with the great car you have.
Cd player on ours isnt the best but depends on make and model cd player.
Not many bad points i can think of really we love the car!
