Vauxhall Zafira Life 1.6i 16v

Advantages: size,reliability
Disadvantages: safty overall drive,blind spots,flat spots

We had our zafira 1.6 life for two years from brand new.The reliability with ours was perfect,tottaly faultless with no issues whatsoever,however the drive was a different story.The blind spot is a huge issue which has no bearing on driver ability whatsoever,the car has huge flat spots whice could easly be called dangerous eg when pulling out of a junction due to flat spots with first gear.The standard spec is low there are not many airbags,no alarm ...

I swapped the new Vauxhall Astra 1.4i in for this Vauxhall Zafira and it is the best thing i did as having a little boy i need as much space as possible which i wasn't getting with the Astra but you certainly do with the Zafira. Advantages: Feels like driving a car, not a van

I was nervous about buying an MPV but having test driven several chose the Zafira as being the one that felt most like driving a car. Parking and manoeuvring are all as easy as is an Astra (the Zafira has the same wheel base as the Astra) apart from a bit of a blind spot where the sloping front pillars obscure the view, particularly on roundabouts. Advantages: lots of power for a people carrier, very stylish inside and out , great fun to drive
Disadvantages: can be a bit sluggish from stanstill when all seats occupied but soon picks up and can keep up with most sporty cars out there. :-)
