Network Q - Just another car dealer. 9 of 9 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Good selection of vehicles, friendly service

Disadvantages High price for all the hype.

Having bought a 4 year old (35,000 mile) Vauxhall Vectra Elite from Motorbodies (Luton) I've been disappointed with my experience so far. I've never bought from a dealership before as I'd always held the opinion that the manufacturers seal of approval is mainly an aid to push up the forecourt price and my experience with Network Q has confirmed this. Buying the car itself was a pleasant experience, no pressure and I left in my new car reassured that the 114 point Network Q check and warranty assured me of trouble free motoring (for at least a year anyway). Within 300 miles both rear shock absorbers were leaking oil and not being covered by the warranty I paid for these to be replaced. I then contacted NQ to try to find out why both shock absorbers should be found faulty despite the 114 point check and the relatively low mileage and requested a copy of the checklist. It became apparent that a number of other minor, but nevertheless significant points had also been missed. To be fair to Motorbodies they did point out that they would likely have replaced the shock absorbers had i returned the vehicle to them but couldn't explain why the other checks were missed. Bottom line, Network Q are just another car dealer, shop around, don't pay for and don't be fooled by all the hype.

Update 23/12/08

During the course of the warranty (which has now expired) it's been back to Motorbodies several times to investigate a droning noise which was present from early on. Various bushes and bearings were replaced and the noise is still present. Eventually I gave up trying to get this fixed as it became too disruptive to keep taking time off work. An MOT at the same branch cautioned that brake disks were close to the end of their life (I'd had the car around 7 months and covered only average motorway miles in that time). Having been told that the brakes were not covered by warranty (the policy stated that at least the pads were covered) and arguing the case I had the discs replaced under warranty.

Yesterday the front suspension collapsed (broken O/S coil) and I'm down another £300. Whilst I can't blame MB for this, brake wear and suspension failure at
