I was insured by them for quite a number of years, until it came to renewing the policy that is. well, in the past I have always had the insurance automatically renewed every year without doing a thing. And this year proved to be the opposite, they just didn't renew it, and the first thing I knew was when I wanted to tax my car, and found that my policy had expired! I rang the helpline, which was answered very quickly, and got the confirmation I had asked for. The voice simply said "You are not insured with us" This amazed me, after being covered by them for years, it turned out tjhey did not renew for no apparent reason. I of course needed insurance, so went to one of the competition.
While I was under Vauxhall, I had no complaints, but then had no claims either. All I can say is that the helpline was quick and efficient, and the price of the premium was very attractive indeed.
In the event of your car being off the road, you will get the use of a courtesy car, and by all accounts it does not need to be a small two door city car either, if you wanted a car to transport large amounts of stuff, they would just take one from the forecourt, because the car is supplied by your local Vauxhall dealer.

The price for the fully comprehensive policy was very competitive, and the small print didn't seem to hide anything, I was allowed two shunts in three years without compromising my no claims bonus.
All in all I was happy with the company, and would go with them again, I may even change back next time. . .
Advantages: Saved me a lot of money!!! Disadvantages: if its not covered then u lose out
Money, Money, Money.
I was a bit sceptical when buying Mot Test Insurance by the vauxhall dealer, but i was told "it was a bargain for £35" so just a year passed I thought to myself what the hell I'll just take it.
It covers up to £750 of repairs on your Mot, although there are exclusions e.g bodywork, corrosion and wear and tear. It has to be bought 6 months before Mot is due, the car has to be less than 8 years old and less than 80,000 miles.
The car is getting on a bit now, shes not as young as she used to be. 1997 Vectra, and I didnt spend a penny in the last Mot so though this years would need a few things doing.
"THE MOT", I just knew it i said to myself. It's gone and failed. Written at the bottom of the VT30 (failure sheet) was. "In my opinion this car is dangerous to drive for the following reasons the brakes ...

Advantages: Good Resale value, sporty, comfortable, sleek Disadvantages: Feels same as a much older model.
quality. The legroom in the rear is improved from the earlier model I had and is comfortable for adults to sit in for quite a long journey.
The boot I find quite large and can handle a weekly shop or transporting most of the kids toys to grannies.
The car is very economical for such a sporty model and returns a constant 50 miles per gallon even on shortish runs. BMW main dealer servicing can be quite expensive but to be honest their is no need to use a main dealer as everthing is pretty standard and most garages could easily handle serviing this car. parts prices are very good, and in fact if bought through internet or component dealer who specialise in german cars are only marginally more expensive that ford or vauxhall parts.
Insurance is a bit step at group 14, but these do have a good resale value and I think this makes up for this ...

Advantages: low tax and insurance, small, comfy, good petrol consumption, electric windows, cd player with controls on wheel Disadvantages: not a very smooth drive once you've had it for a year or so, no cigarette lighter or sun roof, everyone's got one!
This is my second car and first new car. I had an old Vauxhall Corsa before that and the improvements are amazing.
The car comes with a standard power steering, cd and radio (controllable from the wheel, electric windows, central locking, charger socket, variable windscreen settings and a large boot. It's cheap to tax and considering I'm under 25, with only 2 years no claims, £19 a month insurance is extremely reasonable. I've had no problems in terms of breakdowns and have never had to take it back to the garage. I also got 6 months tax and a years free fully comp insurance, although I swapped back to Direct Line afterwards as Vauxhallinsurance is not cheap.
It was £200 for spearmint silver metallic paint, but it really is worth it and it looks much better than other non-metallic cars on the road.
On the negative side I find ...
