    Advantages Advantages cleans really well

    Disadvantages Disadvantages filter needing changing - quite heavy

    Last year I was converted to the benefits of using a steam to clean when I bought an entry level Beldray mop. Unfortunately for me after many months of happy use, in the way of appliances sometimes, one day mid steam mopping the mop suddenly stopped working in spectacular fashion. This is the replacement mop I bought (rrp £79.99), for which I paid £49.99 in Argos, having been refunded for my faulty appliance. I had wanted a steam cleaner for quite a while and I had been watching the QVC channel where they had been advertising them all the time, and kept on mentioning to my husband how great they looked.     In my house I have a combination of different floor coverings, from varnished real wooden floors in two of the bedrooms and then lino in the kitchen and tiles in the bathroom. Mopping up is such a chore and it never felt truly clean so we bought one of the steam mops to make the process easier and make the floors cleaner. After mopping with a conventional mop the floors just seemed quite dull and I felt like I was just smearing water everywhere rather than making them hygienic and sanitised.     Advantages Advantages Light weight, does not require cleaning products, kills bacteria and cleans away stains easily

    When we bought our house we only had one area of hard flooring which was in the kitchen and this was quickly removed and replaced as the old owners were not concerned that they had rather stained and holey vinyl. Being a person who has always thought that carpet was not the most hygienic of flooring in the bathroom, this too since been ripped out and replaced with vinyl floor tiles which make cleaning that little bit easier.     Advantages Advantages Heats quickly and removes stains

    I have to say that although this is a good little machine, I am still not too sure why I bought it. I am always looking for ways to cut down the housework, but here there really is not a lot that I can do with the steam mop. We only have a small kitchen and a small area in the extension that has tiles and lino but I saw it was reduced and decided that it was going to be a bargain. At £50 it seems like a good investment for the future. I have not used it on the carpets as yet, because they are fairly new and I am concerned I may not use it properly and ruin them.
