The Veet Bladeless Razor Kit did not make things easier!

The Veet Bladeless Razor Kit did not make things easier!Initial Impression * * * * * * * * * * * * *
The product was surrounded by lots of plastic packaging. This did seem a bit wasteful. The bladeless razor looked quite nice, pink I think, easy to hold, a bit like a razor with no blade. (Stating the obvious or what!). The metal can inside was filled with a mousse to remove the hair. There were so many instructions, I remember thinking, after opening it and reading all of the instructions, I could have finished waxing my legs by now! Never mind, I will try anything once! I read the instructions, I think there was the usual, test a small area first. It advised not to use on sore skin or moles or broken areas. Quite sound advice as it would STING, but straightforward commonsense I would have thought. You are to test after 3 minutes and wash off after a maximum of 6. Oh, and do not use after a hot bath or shower. Deoderant could not be used for 24 hours and hands must be washed thoroughly after use.
Getting down to it. * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Well I wasn`t going to use it after a shower anyway, it would be pointless, you would only need another one to wash it off. The can of mousse was a bit like a can of mousse. Well how else can I describe it? A bit like hair mousse for those who use it, but a fatter can. Very easy to dispense, just press the top down, after taking the lid off! I got the impression that the whole can needed to be used as you were told to apply liberally. Anyway, I have read reviews since when it hasn`t worked so I think I was right. I was at a bit of a loss, how do you apply hair remover all over your lower leg liberally, without risking your carpet? In the end I spent the duration with my legs dangling over the bath. I wasn`t going to take any chances.
I am not very good at describing smells, but it was quite strong, a bit, I should imagine, how you would think a hair remover should smell. The mousse went on very easily and felt soft. My legs did not sting or anything. I washed my hands afterwards which was a bit precarious whilst standing in the bath. I left it on for the required time after testing and used the bladeless razor. It felt smooth and the hairs came off effortlessly. Oh good, so it was worth all the hassle. After washing the bladeless razor thoroughly and washing my hands even more thoroughly, I proceeded to have a shower. I washed it off my legs, I did not have any stinging sensation and had to wash my hands again. Eventually I washed my hair but by this time I must have washed my hands 20 times. Well it did say don`t use after a hot bath or shower so I couldn`t do it before. I couldn`t not wash my hair. It is just a very weird sensation washing the hair on your head after using hair remover on your legs. I am fond of the hair on my head. Anyway, it did not remove the hair on my head. Incidentally, the Veet bladeless razor can also be used under arms but I think it is too close to the hair on my head! I honestly cannot remember whether it could be used on the bikini line, but if you could, I certainly wouldn`t be.
Afterwards. * * * * * * * *
Afterwards I was delighted to have lovely, smooth, soft, completely hairless legs. I couldn`t wait to go out and buy it again, though I thought I would not have to for a few weeks. I wondered why I had bothered waxing all of this time when hairs were left behind. My legs had never felt so smooth. There must have been something in the mousse aswell to make them feel lovely and soft.
Later. * * * * *
I was jubulant for 2 days but my elation was short lived. Two days later, I could feel stubble on my legs. I may as well have shaved and it would have been so much quicker. It would not have been quite so smooth on the day, but it would have achieved the same results afew days later. Like shaving, it needing doing again after the same time as shaving would. Utter disappointment.
Would I use again? * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
No, I would not use it again. The instant results were fantastic, but did not last. I think it cost about £5. Very expensive for something that I could have achieved with a razor (it was only better for the first day), and the razor would have cost me nothing (except of course for the initial purchase but I had lots of spares at home). I think I had got it mixed up with the hair removers that remove the hair from the root so last for a few weeks. I have either got mixed up, or I am dreaming it!. Whilst I was so pleased at first, I had expected the results to last MUCH longer. It was such hassle to use, its not exactly the sort of thing that you can leave on and go and get on with something else. Rather than rushing off to buy it again, I went back to using my Veet wax strips, that is, until I recently discovered the epilator.
Advantages: Removes hair Disadvantages: Smells awful and can't use anti-perspirant for 24 hours
...but have a tube of Veet or Immac as it was known in the bathroom cabinet, I tried waxing once at home and was left with wax all over my legs! A professional wax on my bikini line left me minus some skin and looking like a plucked turkey, so that is something I will not be repeating.
I had read about a new "Bladeless kit" in my innocence I thought it was shaving without a blade. My family seriously worry about my naiveness! Worth a try I decided, ... ...and white with the name Veet in blue lettering. Loads of instructions, and precautions are printed on the back and most impressive it says "3 minutes". My can is labelled as, "moisturising" and is the "Floral Sensation" which was the only one Boots had the day I was shopping. But there is also Aloe Vera, both are described as sexy fragrances!

...were selling off packs of Veet Immac Rasera reduced from £6.99 to a mere £1.49.Initially I thought the pack contained a razor and a tin of shaving foam! That shows my ignorance where hair removing is concerned! On closer inspection I read that the pack contained a tin of hair removing gel and a bladeless razor. The blurb on the back of the tin promised me smooth hair free legs for twice as long as with shaving and perfect results every time! I was ... ...within a few days. With Veet Rasera I didn't notice any re-growth for about a week! When my hair did start to reappear it was noticeably finer. Each tin of hair removal cream contains 150ml of cream. I have used it about 6 times now and there is still some left. Initially I think I used to too much and now find even a thin covering of the cream removes all hair well. I suggest you experiment !
I had a look on The Veet website and notice that they ...

Advantages: good smell, actually works! Disadvantages: -
...I first heard about the Veet Rasera Bladeless Kit when a kind worker in Boots handed me an advertising leaflet for it. It made me think..I could be hair free without a blade or pain? It's a miracle! I went straight to the hair removal section and picked up a can, I bought the lotus milk & jasmine for normal skin (the one in the pink can). 150ml for £6.95, I thought that was quite reasonable.
Most of these "new and improved" - which I don't understand, ... ...time? - hair removal creams usually either don't work or smell like toilet cleaning chemicals, after first opening this, I realised that it didn't have the same smell of a newly cleaned toilet, but that of jasmine, nice :).
I squirted some of the thick, white cream into my hand and started liberally applying it to my legs, the smeel was strong, but it was nice. After washing my hands straight away (like the can says to), I put on some music, what ...
