Advantages quick method of defuzzing! straightforward to use, & actually work!!!

Disadvantages not the cheapest product around

I got a free sample of these strips from their website a while back. They are ace! In the past many other brands of wax strips have just left a goo-like mess on my legs, or left the hair!!!!!

The big question...does it hurt? If you are a wax virgin you may feel some pain, very short lived, its like plucking your eyebrows, when you first started you did feel something, but you kind if get used to it, & the more you do it the less it hurts, i can honestly say i dont feel no pain when i wax my legs now - or i would not do it as im a bit of a baby!!!!

These Veet strips stick to your leg, & remove all your fuzz, wether its long or short, it works on hairs as small as 2mm, so you dont have to 'grow' in order to wax - thank the lord!!!!

You get 16 in a box which lasts me ages, i tend to use about 4 strips to do my lower legs. So in that sense it is good value for money as even though your spending a little less than a fiver per box, it goes a long way. To get your legs done in a salon your looking at a minimum of £10, when you do the maths it pays to DIY!

You can use them on other areas too, not just your legs, they are good if you have dark hairs on your arms, & wanna be fuzz free, especially in the summer.

In my experience they are really simple to use, two are 'stuck' together. You need to pull them apart, SLOWLY & set one strip aside for later. The one you are holding, place it down flat on a part of your leg, press & smooth down to really get all the hairs stuck to the wax on the strip. Then holding the skin taught just underneath the strip (if you dont do this you wont get a good result), & with your other hand get hold of the wax free edge of the strip & pull the strip off. Now for really smooth results you need to keep the strip as close to the skin as possible when you are ripping it off, its kind of like a 'snapping' action. I think this is where a lot of people go wrong with wax strips, as one tends to think once the wax is on the skin it will automatically pull the hairs out when lifted, dont lift OFF, lift UP.
Its all in the technique!!!!! Dont be put off its easy to master!

I have really sensitive skin & usually get a reaction to most things, but i am totally fine with wotever is in the wax.

The little after wax wipes are good as they get rid of any little spots of wax that may be left on your skin, & they are soothing too. They should supply a couple more per box tho, but what i do is open their packet, cut them in half with scissors, & use half each time instead of whole, i suppose it depends what size area you are waxing, if its only a little part you might as well save the rest of the wipe. They are easily put back into the packet, fold down the edge you opened & pop back into the wax strip box!

Also they dont have a strong or umpleasant smell - which is always a plus.

These strips are widely availble, as well as boots, supedrug, etc you can pick them up in asda, & tesco when doing your shopping. Look out for special offers ( they have them quite often) when you can get a third off a box, even tesco's has had this special offer. Thats when i tend to buy them!

So dont be a wax virign lol. Ive been using them for ages, & love the way they last soooo much longer than shaving, & dont hurt half as much as epilation, (they are loadssss quicker than epilating too).

Great review. I have some free samples in the house that I've never got around to using. Liked your instructions - I must try your technique!

Great review... would be nice if they put in more wipes but good tip about cutting it!
