Advantages: An intoxicating smell that lingers Disadvantages: Very powerful but is that a bad thing? No, it means the smell lasts a looooooong time
I wouldn't say that I like strong fragrances, I prefer the more subtle type of perfumes that are not spicy. But there are always those exceptions such as my Coco Chanel perfume.
********Christian Dior*************
Christian Dior designs lots and lots of things from clothes to shoes, from make up to perfumes. Her range is quite adaptable and I think you can always find a little something for everyone in her stuff.
Although I like alot Christian Dior products (especially her foundation), her perfume is my least favourie product. I think that Addict was her last perfume and that was very rich and spicy and way too overpowering. I'll never forget that smell because, I was in Saphora in Angel- London, where I was trying to buy a new perfume, and after taking one sniff of Addict- I couldn't smell another one no matter how much I ...
Advantages: Easy to read and quite interesting story Disadvantages: A little simplistic
Act of Faith by Erica James
The story begins with Ali visiting the cemetery where her son is buried and there she bumps into Elliot her former husband and you begin to feel the emotional tension between them As the story develops you find out more about how their son died and why their marriage broke up. This is one element of the story.
Intermixed with this is the relationship between Ali and her school friend Sarah who is in a very strange marriage to Trevor, a rather pious Christian man. He wears his Christianity like a proud badge but is a rather petty dominating husband and old fashioned disciplinarian father. Trevor and Ali do not get along at all but Ali as Sarah?s best friend is godmother to Trevor and Sarah?s daughter, Hannah and this relationship mix provides another element to the story of Ali and Elliot and their problems ...
Advantages: Gorgeous taste, mixes well with juice or cola, reasonable price Disadvantages: Not widely available, alcohol is still bad for you in large amounts
one. Among their display was a bottle of red liquid labelled as "Cherry Velvet" and described as "a fine smooth blend of vodka, cherry wine and West Country magic". I had finally found cherry vodka and didn't hesitate to buy a bottle - but would it be a match for the Polish drink I had sampled in Revolution?
The bottle itself is uninspiring, the label a simple white one with green text and a gold Witham Friary logo - in short, it looks like something produced from a very small company who doesn't go for an emphasis on appearances. But that in itself is rather good, as it usually means that the emphasis is on the product itself, and not on the marketing. I believe this makes it vastly superior to any of the mass-produced and over-advertised stuff you get in chain stores! :-)
So did the cherry velvet live up to expectations? That ...

When the Jesus revolution exploded in the first century, its members were called People of The Way. The way of Jesus meant the way of love and peace and sharing your possessions and compassion and risk and forgiveness and harmony. Today, millions in our world continue to be fascinated with Jesus and his teachings, but are scared to death of his followers. If the Christian movement in Western culture does not rediscover its origins as a way of living and relating to the world, to God, and to our neighbours, it may likely die in the next few generations. This book is an exploration of what it looks like to actually try to live in The Way of Jesus again - in a world so dramatically different from the early years of Christianity. So what does the Christian faith look like in the new world we find ourselves in? Not theories, but stories. Not guesses about the direction it might take, but accounts about what directions it is taking. Even more, what does it look like for the ancient, orthodox message of Jesus to be communicated and lived in such a way that a highly wired and cynical culture might actually start listening again? This is a book for those who know there's a God.For those who know that truth, beauty, design, and love come from somewhere, but they cannot stomach the current versions of God they find in local churches. For Christians who want a life of risk and movement and revolution, but are not finding it in the places they are looking. For those who want to listen, but don't speak the languages they are hearing.
