I must admit this took me a while to get the hang of, I couldn't get it to play CDs and I couldn't get it to work as an alarm clock so I just had it there as an expensive clock. ... ...Basically the standby button is the key to most things. Pretty stupid of me not to realise that I needed to turn the thing on first I know but it's me!

After a while of playing around it became more simple. Basically the standby button is the key to most things. As it can be used for a Walkman too, the CD controls are set away from the alarm clock controls which is good in the way that it keeps them separate therefore simpler but bad in the way you have to reach higher from bed if you want to change the track!
It definitely goes up loud enough to wake me up in the morning and I am a VERY heavy sleeper. You can set two alarms at different times and they keep going until somebody turns them off, there is also a snooze button.
A little annoyance is the clock light; it is bright blue and some people may find that a bit of a disturbance when they are trying to sleep.
As there is no picture i suppose I'll have to try and describe it a little bit and if a picture is a thousand words then this is going to be a small picture.. Square silver block set int the centre at the top with a little display screen in the top centre of that which is the CD part. Under that is the blue display showing the time and which alarms are set. Either side of that there is silver controls for the alarm clock. All of that is surrounded by two speakers, one either side, which are in a slightly darker shade of silver. The whole thing is about 12" by 8" and sticks out about 4" from the wall.
This is definitely a useful and value for money product if you only want something simple.
