I have tried the following brands:
Memorex
Datasafe
Datawrite
Imation
Infiniti
Ritek
Ridata
Panasonic
TDK and
Sony
Some of these were adequate, some were good, and some were downright a waste of money (Datasafe). But i have found the most stable media to be Verbatim, and that's all i will now use for DVD media.
I use them in both my computers DVD-writer and ... ...recorder in Sept 2003), and Verbatim is by far and away the most stable. But what do i mean by stable. I mean the number of failed burn attempts, or corrupted discs due to temperature, handling etc. I have found that some discs seem very prone to failing if they are recorded to at warm temperatures, which are common if my recorder has been on all day and recording for a couple of hours.
