It would appear from the shelves that CD's are going the way of the good old Vinyl, into obscurity and beyond. With the DVD probably now the main media for saving files to with the exception of those knacky little USB drives CD's seem to be harder to come by these days. It's shame really they have served us so well over the years, and none more so than Verbatim.
I recently had cause to make a few audio CD's and therefore needed some media to put the music onto. I chose the 10 pack Verbatim CD-R 700Mb, which came in at around £5 on Amazon, not bad that's only 50p a disc. I know you can get cheaper versions, but in the past I've ended up throwing more of those type away than I have actually been able to get anything onto.
As many of you will know the word Verbatim means word for word or exact, so the name itself exudes a certain amount of authority and confidence. The CD's come in clear cases which although not extremely strong are suffice for the job of protecting the CD's. They are 52X so the writing to them is fast if your CD recorder is up to the task, obviously you are not going to get 52X if you recorder max's out at 24X.
I have made the few CD's that I intended and had absolutely no problems at all in their creation or indeed in subsequent playing on any equipment, so the outlay of a little extra was well worth it. A good buy from a very respectable supplier.

I have four of these left from a pack of ten purchased in ASDA a couple of weeks ago - I've always rated Verbatim from my early computer days of 7.5" floppy disks - they were the most reliable then so I'vestayed loyal. Richard.
