Vespa ET2

First things first, I love my Vespa; I simply wouldn’t be without it. Every single day I thank God that I don’t have to queue with the rest of them, that I can just whiz to the front of the queue every time. I bought mine a year ago and frankly there was no contest when deciding on a model. It’s alluring shape won me over and I loved the way it purred (much quieter than previous models). you see the Piaggio Vespa ET2 absolutely everywhere and this is for a reason. Frankly it is the most efficient and stylish scooter in its power and price range. THis is not only the opinion of me or the shopkeeper but also mechanics i have contacted and other motorcyclists. Purchased my silver ET2, V-reg 6000miles from a lad at work, £100 with full MOT and a hefty lock (Bargin).. Had a few scooters in my time going back to the eighties, but non of them come close to my ET2. Its a comfortable ride with a nice riding position and ducks and dives through the traffic with ease and you can lean it into corners well. The young boys on there more "sporty" looking scooters try to race you!!!!!! I bought my ET2 in august 2003 second hand, it was 5 years old. it came with the complimentary dodgy touch ups that a second hand bike has. it also came part derestricted and so has a top speed of 40mph. the stand has fallen off, and the headlight bulb is upside down but the stand has been re-fixed to the bike. though today it has sheared itself off. with the adaptation to do 40mph it now only does 38mpg and really after 10000Km it is knackered. the steering lock doesn't work, the glove compartment is useless and you cannot fit many secure locks to it as I would like.
