Have you ever wished that you didn’t have to apply quite so much blusher when putting your face on in the morning, just wished that you looked more radiant and fresh in the face? Well that is what Vichy’s Oligo 25 is for.
I started to use Oligo 25 when it was first introduced in my workplace as the new ‘Vichy Laboratoires’ product around a year or so ago, maybe even more; it looked different to the other Vichy creams as you had a choice of a green pot for normal combination skin or a pink peach pot for dry skin - most other Vichy products just come in a white pot with the standard blue writing, but not this. As with all Vichy products is had a strange name that I wasn’t quite sure how to pronounce and why the heck did it have 25 at the end of the name? Thankfully I do know the reason although not hugely relevant, 25 stands for the 25th element on the periodic table which is Manganese and Manganese is the active ingredient in Oligo so that’s where it comes into the name equation.
Alas, I went and plumped for the green pot which was for normal combination skin, I was tempted with dry skin as I do get dry patches but as most other products that I have tried for dry skin have been too greasy for my liking I thought I’d take the easy road for once.
The pot is quite short and only stands a couple of inches off of a table; it has a narrow base that gently gets wider up to a white screw on lid. When you take the lid off the first thing you notice is the brightness of the cream, it’s a lovely fresh green. You dip in your finger and rather than being presented with a cream that feels thick and gooey like a block of butter it is soft and light and very easy to apply, the creams doesn’t just sit on the skin it soaks in and leaves you feeling refreshed. Oligo 25 also has a very fresh and slight fruity smell to it, I can only describe it as lush but you don’t have to worry about walking around smelling of your face cream as the smell is gone within minutes of you gently massaging it into your face, also this product contains Polyfructol which gently exfoliates the skin – what more could you want?.
Now when I first started using this I was slightly sceptical but I sell this product to other people all the time so thought it was time I sold it to myself, and it really did work. I noticed an instant difference after just a single day because my skin was looking less dehydrated and less dull but the product does take around 14 days to show clear results. Now I’m 20 years old and this product is really aimed at people between 22 and 30, I have quite strange skin that can be sensitive, dry and really uncomfortable but I’ve not had a single problem with this product since I’ve been using it; my skin does look brighter and it feels much more comfortable, so even though this product can set you back around £12.00 for a pot containing 50ml I personally feel that it is worth that price to have comfortable skin.
