We stumbled across Victoria Plumb's website whilst looking for a freestanding sink unit for our bathroom ... ...- cost £240 including delivery. We were impressed by the website, their range of products and their claim that they could deliver this particular item in 5-7 working days. This company is absolutely hopeless. I am so mad that I am thinking about contacting Trading Standards and a TV programme who looks into this sort of thing. I, like a few others on here made the mistake of thinking they had an attractive website, had a nice range of bathroom products and were a customer service focussed company - ha!
I ordered a sink and toilet from them in about August '07. The first delivery didn't turn up because the driver couldn't ... ...my friends have and have never had a problem).
When the goods did arrive a week later, the lid to the toilet cistern was cracked.
The replacement lid was ordered and arrived a week later, smashed in half. It was only wrapped in bubble wrap in a plastic bag.
A second replacement lid was ordered and arrived a week later, also smashed.
The third lid was ordered but the warehouse didn't action the order. When the lid did finally arrive a further ...

Advantages: Enticing web site and easy online payment Disadvantages: Poorest service imaginable, simplest of order turned into 4-5 month saga
...patiently for 2 months whilst Victoria Plumb obtained stock of the item they advertised on their web site and told me by phone was "...imminently due in stock...". Early Oct they took payment saying stock was in. Now, 19th Nov I still haven't received items, refund or any response from their "Customer Service" dept. I eventually received one item few weeks ago in the wrong size and wrong quantity. I got through to them by phone and was then promised ... ...have spent a fortune on Victoria Plumb's customer-charging 0870 phone number, I have left over a dozen messges on their answer system, endless emails and recently complained to Trading Standards. Completion on my self build has now been delayed 4 and a half months (so far) for the sake of 2 bath panels, which are holding up tiling, boxing in, painting and final VAT reclaim. I have never come across an internet company which is so totally unreliable and unscrupulous. Their delivery times bear no resemblance to those advertised on their web site. For 5-7 days read 5-7 weeks, if at all. Their customer service is appalling. They never call back when they promise to do so, and they refuse to give out their names. We bought a walk-in shower which had multiple bits to it (doors, tray, plug, shower head etc) and they sent them ... ...note that actually said what was being delivered, so we had no way of checking if all the bits were there. After two months the tray still hadn't arrived, and they claimed they'd already delivered it and would do nothing to help because we hadn't reported its non-delivery within seven days. How we were supposed to do that without delivery notes was not explained.
Don't expect them to honour any promise or contract to provide the goods you have paid ...

Advantages: cheap, quick, helpful Disadvantages: none for us anyway
When I saw on the reviews list I thought I would have a read. I was surprised at the amount of negative feedback from their customers. We bought our bathroom suite, bath, sink, toilet for an amazingly cheap price about 3 years ago from them. As our bathroom is very small we had to check and double check all the sizes of the bath and each time we rang up the sales people were really friendly. We found one that was perfect. My husband ordered it and ... ...(sat there for 3 weeks while we found someone to fit it for less than 3k but that's another story).
After about 4 months the pop up plug did not work on the sink and we rang them once to tell them and within 3 days we had the entire replacement unit to just pop in after removing the old unit. We never had a problem. After about 18 months the plastic on the flush broke and I rang them to see if they sold the replacments but they only do complete ...
