If I have a bit of a ticklish cough I like to suck on a Victory V. These remind me of proper old fashioned cough sweets. I buy these for 75p from my local shop and they are in a little pack and each cough sweet is wrapped up individually which I like so they don’t all get stuck together. They have Victory V written in large letters and beside this it says they are ‘forged for strength’.

I like these sweets because I not only like to eat them when I have a poorly cough or a sore throat, but I like them to just eat generally as well as I like the taste. Some people may not like them because they are very strong. The sweets are a grey brown colour in small rectangles.

These sweets have got Ether in them and this is the active ingredient and what makes them work well if you have a cough or a sore throat. They really are very effective and work very well for me as well as being a pleasant sweet to eat.

The reason they have got Ether in them is because this is an anaesthetic and it numbs the throat. The taste of these sweets is very strong and very distinctive and I can taste licourice in them too and I really like the taste of licourice as I find it very soothing for the back of the throat.

They are quite a medicinal tasting cough sweet but this is what I like about them and is the reason why I buy the. I like to have a packet in my house all the time just in case I need one when I have a sore throat or a bad cough. My daughter does not like them. The taste is very strong and really gets to the back of your mouth and your nose and throat too.
