As I have naturally curly hair, I hinted for some hair straighteners for Christmas.
I had a pair by Vidal Sassoon and was impressed with the packaging and the design of them.
I couldn't wait to use them, so christmas morning, there I was freshly dried hair and the straighteners at the ready. I let them get hot so that it wouldn't take too long to do.
I ahve short hair and wanted to achieve a spiky, messy affect.
I sat there for ages waiting for them to get hot and then it was the moment of truth.
They certainly straightened my hair, but to my horror, they burnt the ends of my hair. I had not long had it cut and knew that I had no dead ends that might do this. The ends of my hair went almost ginger with the rest of my hair being quite dark auburn.
I had to wash it again and give it a deep condition to try to repair the damage.
Be carefuk if you want to use
straighteners, they use direct heat onto your hair, which strips your hair of moisture.
I'd recommend the ones with steam, at least they are trying to put back in what they are taking out of your hair.
