Vidal Sassoon Hot Tools Pro Hot Spiral Tong

Advantages: Really good value for money
Disadvantages: Wear out after 4-6 months

...When I first got these tongs i didnt know if they were going to be any good as they were at such a low price but when i got them home and tried them out I was amazed at how good they were they curled my hair perfectly. I used them often, but not all the time as my hair is quite long and think so it took some time to curl it. But when i did use them they worked really well. I was really pleased with them as they were cheap compared to other curling tongs i had seen. Then after a few months they didnt seem to work as well as they used to, they didnt get as hot and my hair didnt seem to curl as well as what it did. This was a shame but as they were so cheap I proberly should of exspected it. Overall these are good in the short term but if you looking for tongs that last these aren't for you.... Read review

...The Vidal Sassoon VS 5311 hair straightener is a straightener which has hugely benefited fromt he latest technology. Vidal Sassoon are a very well-known and highly respected brand for making straighteners, hair dryers, blow dryers, curling tongs and many more. The straighteners are a classic and simple design but are still excellent for straightening your hair with. The colour of them also helps them to keep the heat in as they are black and black absorbs heat. It has a logn wire which makes it convenient to use as you don't have to be near the socket all the time. It does not have different temperature settings but it does reach a high temperature in a short period of time which makes it easy to use for everyone.... Read review

Advantages: Really easy to use, almost impossible to burn yourself
Disadvantages: Have to do a small amount of hair at a time and can leave kinks.

...I bought these curling tongs about a year ago in a sale for about £10, and although I haven't had the time to use them very regularly, my experience of them has been very good. Although I now find the design a bit too pink and little-girly, they work better than the vidal sassoon curling tong i had before them. It is difficult to do the back of your head without getting kinks so I tend to get someone else to do that if I have the time, but that goes for any curling tong. The main advantage from my point of view is that the barrel has a plastic spiral around it; this especially benefits people like me as I am notoriously good at burning my head.
