I got a pair of really good Trevor Sorbie straighteners as a christmas present this year, and they were amazing! However soon all the ceramic coating started to peel off and i was left with a slight burning smell when straitening my hair in the morning - not good! These Straightener's are fantastic. I've had mine for 2years or more and they still work the same as the day I bought them. They are great for all hair types. My sister who's hair is fine and Mum who's hair is very thick use's them all the time. I have recommended this product to work colleges and a couple of them have gone out and got these and have said they would recommend this product to any one.

...straightened my hair instantly, these Vidal Sassoon straighteners did not feel as hot, even on the highest setting. I had to use them on each section of hair a number of times to achieve the desired result, and my hair is naturally quite straight so I wasn't asking too much of them! I purchased this a few months ago and it's proven very efficient. There is one thing i noticed right from the first day though - when used, the joint makes a sqeaking noise, a "feature" i quickly got used to though. I've also found that the two plates aren't perfectly lined up against eachother, so you have to squeeze them together a bit, which becomes tiring after a while. The cord is long enough for me to plug it in my room and go all the way ...
...though you might find it encumbering if you plan on travelling a lot. You choose the temperature, which is my favourite feature, because my hair is already a bit straight, so I can set a smaller temperature and not damage my hair too much.
