Manufacturer's product description
PS2 interfaces, whether mouse or keyboard, have the same mini 6 pin DIN interface connector. Videk offers both the conventional extension (plug to socket) as well as the plug-to-plug cables which are often used unless stated all cables are manufactured using standard straight design cable.
Advantages: No cables, long battery life Disadvantages: Not so good keyboard feel, rather expansive
...I've got to say, right up front, that mouse and keyboardcables don't bother me. Sure, mousecables can occasionally snag in the middle of a hectic game, and the keyboard curly cord is one more cable in the mess behind my computer, but really, I'm OK with it. It's not a problem. I'm happy.
Getting the Cordless Desktop going is simple enough. The receiver's five foot colour-coded leads terminate in PS/2 connectors, and there are adaptors included for a standard 5 pin DIN connector for the keyboard and a 9 pin serial plug for the mouse. So you should be able to hook up the receiver to any IBM compatible.
Overall the main disadvantage of the keyboard is the feel it has. I especially found the keys hard to press when typing, maybe this has a limit to how fast you can type, I am not sure. However if people are able to put up with this 'feel...

All hardware must be installed first before attempting to install the software – Once the receiver cable is connected then the next step is to install two AAA alkaline batteries in the cordless mouse – the Logitech comes with a battery compartment cover that slides open.
The last step is to install the software CD into the drive of your computer, where you follow simple on-screen instructions. You then manually establish communication between the receiver & the mouse by pressing the connect buttons (there is a small connect button on the receiver & mouse) – you are now up & running to use your Logitech mouse - a really easy & simple installation procedure which should not take longer than 15 minutes.

..., the candidates find it easy to use and it does not stick or freeze. The candidates have enough to think about without the added pressure of a computer mouse not working correctly.
What is it like?
It is a standard three button mouse; left, right and centre wheel (the centre wheel can be used to scroll up and down as well as it becomes a button when pressed, this allows a controlled scroll by moving the mouse).
Underneath is a red light that is projected onto the mouse mat and some pads that allow the correct distance for the light and to make the mouse glide over the surface of the mat so to help the user.
It is also readily available in both black and white.
What does it come with?
The mouse has an attached cable (approx 1.8m in length) for connecting to the computer; the end of this cable has a USB connection.
Also included is an adapter...
