I would reccomend buying speakers to use with it purely ... ...viewing movies on the monitor. Onboard speakers will do if your not pedantic about sound quality. I am though.
It is plug and play to set up. It turned up. I bounced my old huge monitor out of the way and plugged this one in. I was converted. TFT is the only way to go. It was almost too simple. I didn't have to do a thing. Although I will have to get used to not being able to balance my coffee cup on the top. I think I can get over ... more

I am an avid gamer. I play in CPL CS:S gaming leagues so I wouldn't use this monitor if I thought it wasn't upto gaming standards. It has only served to improve my gaming experience.
For the price. I really can't see how it can be beaten. If this is the top end of your budget. Your getting a bargain.

An excellent LCD monitor for the money. I have had the monitor for almost a year now without any problems. But beware if you don’t think your pc can run the monitor at its native screen resolution. Think twice before buying because the picture will look blurred in any other resolution then 1440 x 900.
I use the monitor a lot for gaming and have never had a problem with the 8ms response time. The main problem I have found when it comes to gaming ...

This monitor is probably the best in its price range. When you get it out of the box it is very easy to set up and I had it running in no time. It took me a while to get use to have such a different screen from what I had.
The quality of the screen is superb. I use the monitor for my computer and my Xbox 360. The Xbox looks very good on the screen and the refresh of 8ms rate can easily keep up with everything. The size of the screen is just right ...

Bought this to go with my system the other day.
It is nice and big, and u do get to see alot more of your screen.
when working with excel, word, or most visual packages, u do get alot more on your screen, and this i feel makes it easier to read. (no more leaning forward to read that word).
when i first switched it on, i nn oticed there were 5 vertical fuzzy lines roughy 6-8cms apart that made the text fuzzy to read, althought this wasnt the case ... ...settings and gfx card driver update soon sorted that.
i really do like this monitor, now my pc has something to truly display thigs on, smaller monitors previous were little and lacked the visual apeal that this monitor has with its stylish curver bottom right corner.

Advantages: High resolution - low cost Disadvantages: Display unsatisfactory except at 1440 x 900 resolution
I recently bought one of these as a special offer and was initially very disappointed because the display was smeared at all the resolutions available with my GeForce GTS driver.
I tried all available resolutions on my graphics card from 800 x 600 through 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024. Nothing made the font look good across the whole screen.
I finally fixed this by downloading a product called PowerStrip which enabled me to create a custom 1440 x 900 ... ...GTS). At this resolution it works very well for me (although I'm not a gamer, I just wanted a bigger and higher resolutiuon screen).
Now I've got used to the higher resolution I'm beginning to like it. Unless you are prepared to get the driver corrected I would not recommend this product for home-office use. ...
