...AKs Ver M16s Viet Cong is the one of the best games on jungle warfare. The game is based on the Vietnamese jungle warfare where the Vietcong's and the Americans fight for there lives in a teem battle. With the Americans getting there ass kicked by the Vietnamese with far from accurate AK47s and rubbish p shooters. This game is a very cleverly made with lots of original ideas. I would say that it is well worth buying. the multy player options for 2 players are rubbish but if you have 3-8 player you are a way the levels are good the Ai in coop mode are really smart. Advantages: Heart pumping action from the off.
Disadvantages: Missions were too short.

...On the down side this offering from Gathering will never challenge the likes of EA and M.O.H. The weapons kick off with antiquated WW2 wooden stocks and it seems an age before you can get hold of something that flattens vegitation, trees and Charlie. However, from the off Vietcong draws you slap bang into the sweaty clutches of Jungle warfare during 1967. Heaven without technology for the sniper's amongst you!!! Terrific graphics accompany a well thought out story line that takes you through the thick of firefights accompanied by a special ops team who's foul language and brutality know no bounds. A very enjoyable game I found myself ducking the occasional wild round. Jumping everytime Charlie opened up from an ambush and generally taking my time while disarming booby traps.... Read review

Advantages: Stealthy, gory action in Vietnam
Disadvantages: Can get tedious at times

...personal favourite, Objectives, where one team has to carry out a mission and the other has to stop them. Having said that, there are some problems with it: 1. Crawling through endless Vietcong tunnels around the middle point of the game can get tedious. 2. The multi-player mode can be quite jumpy, even on broadband connections. 3. The booby traps can get annoying as you pretty much have to run into every single one at first, restart and avoid it the next time, like in Tomb Raider. 4. The 'era-defining music' it speaks of is only really during the opening cut-scene, where it plays 'Hey Joe' by Jimi Hendrix quietly under some speaking. In conclusion, I would recommend this game to anyone who likes first-person shooters but has a long attention span and doesn't mind repeating certain parts.... Read review
