So far I am impressed with quality of this monitor. The screen is clear and crisp. For me it's like looking at the internet in a whole new light. If all you have ever used is a laptop then you'll understand where I am coming from!

You use the next two arrow up and down buttons to select the options you want from the menu's. The 4th button is the second menu which controls the viewmeter, viewmatch color, language, and memory recall.

My View Sonic has 16in diagonal view space with option controls of the front lower base of the monitor. The first control is the main menu which lets you control the contrast, H/V size and positions, pin cushion and balance, trapezoid and parallel tilt, and the moire reduction deguass. You use the next two arrow up and down buttons to select the options you want from the menu's. I like the fact that this monitor is capable of changing languages. This makes for more of a wider usage among nationalities. Another plus is the voltage. The View Sonic which is both compatible for windows and mac also has AC 120-240 voltage. Which means this monitor can be used in certain oversea's locations. A big plus for military folks that move a lot.
The swivel base that the monitor sits on is another big plus, since the monitor weighs 36 pounds, you won't want to be moving it around a lot. My View Sonic also came with a CD-Rom that offered a really cute screen saver with colorful birds to fill your desktop, it also offered information on other View Sonic products and tech support.
If you decide to purchase the View Sonic E771 you will be pleased to find that the monitor comes with a three years parts and labor warranty! For more information on the View Sonic you may want to visit www.viewsonic.com or you can e-mail prodinfo@viewsonic.com for products and dealer questions.
I hope you will enjoy your monitor like I am. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase!
Advantages: Good Viewable Area and decent resolution Disadvantages: Heavy, that's about it
The ViewSonic monitor is well build and has an easy to use menu system. The overall viewable area of 16” is well worth the purchase. I purchased the monitor over 3 years ago and it is still going strong like when I first took it out of its box. It has lasted me through a university course, so it’s very durable and strong.
There are many advantages of the monitor, one being the high resolution is can handle and the refresh rate, perfect ... ...to choose from in the menu system, rotation, size, pincushion and also degauss. These features just add a little extra value to the monitor.
A disadvantage of the monitor is that it is quite heavy, this is maybe to be expected from a 17” monitor, but I have lifted lighter ones. Overall I like this monitor and just hope it will last me at least another three years. ...
