...'OptiSync' comes from. This is what ViewSonic claims to be a future proof and precise synchronization between the two. This monitor has been connected via the digital connection for about 3 years now. Although I can't say that I remember much difference when I changed it over to digital, but that could be something to do with the graphics card. That's providing you can actually tell the difference! One last thing to mention would be the ARAG (Anti Reflection, Anti Glare) screen treatment, which apparently uses a multi layer process to eliminate reflection. Now I have used a number of different monitors over the years and many have claimed to have some form of treatment on the screen. ...In a market full of identical 21in monitors (at least from the buyer's point of view), it's good to find a product with something out of the ordinary to jump upon. With Viewsonic's P815, it's a built-in USB hub which can run passively as normal, or actively by connecting a moulded pass-through power cable which plugs back into the the rear of the monitor. Running the hub passively conserves electricity, while running it actively is handy for connecting low-power peripherals such as digital cameras. All four downstream ports are conveniently located on the right-hand side of the tilt-and-swivel stand. ViewSonic squeezes 20in out of the 21in tube as the viewable area, achieving a dot pitch at the centre of 0.25mm.
