When it comes to monitors nowadays, the general opinion is " The Bigger is Better". However the larger monitor screen usually comes with few cons as well, the major of which is the bulky size of the monitor. If you have a small computer room or tinny office, you most likely know what is meant by the "bulky size".

However, with the introduction of the Short Depth Footprint (the depth that your monitor takes from front to back), this problem has been somewhat solved (the only other solution at the moment is the LCD panel, but even with the recent price adjustments and introduction of several affordable LCD lines of monitors, they are still considerably more expensive and thus, still out of the reach of an average consumer).

If you want the large format screen, but are limited as far as the allocated space where your computer system sits, than the Viewsonic's graphical series G - series are something you should consider).

G790 is a 19" Monitor (18" Viewable area) with the relative Footprint of a 17" monitor thus making it an ideal space saver for your home or office environment.

As far as the quality is concerned, the Viewsonic has been known to be a leader in monitor production, leading brilliantly with the look of their product, the iron clad quality and stunning crispness of images and graphics. Bundled with easy to use on screen programmable menu and a stunning 0.22 DPI horizontal and only a 0.14 DPI vertical and a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels this monitor is a definite beauty.

For those of you that are newbies to monitor markets and terminology, the combination of smaller DPI and larger resolution will produce better and more realistic image quality (although with the increased resolution the size of your graphics on your desktop will shrink down). But if you ever have done or wanted to do some graphic design or image manipulation, you definitely want the monitor that will trouble free handle the higher resolution and will have smallest DPI you can find.

As far as serviceability, Viewsonic is known to produce relatively maintenance free and relatively worry free monitor screens. Ever since Panasonic went out of the business of building regular screens and started concentrating entirely on LCD screens, Viewsonic has been widely acknowledged as a Cadillac of regular (CRT) monitor screens. Coupled with three years manufacturer's warranty you can rest assured that you are buying a piece of mind that will last you a long time.

For those who would like to learn more about this monitor and other monitors from Viewsonic's line of products I suggest visiting Viewsonic's site at www.viewsonic.com. They are quite proud of their products and take proud in showcasing them (including full specifications and product reviews of their entire line). For those who are specifically interested in G790 model you can get detailed specs and review from this link:

Note.

If you are interested in getting the idea as far as the cost of this unit, I would suggest visiting any of internet retailers and comparing costs there. The computer equipment prices are volatile and changing, thus a fixed price here would only be misleading to you as it might not reflect what the equipment would be worth two weeks from today. To get a general idea as to how much this unit would cost I would recommend visiting Pricegrabber at www.pricegrabber.com, where you can get updated pricing from several established e-vendors.

I'm sorry but you seem to be writing about products that you sell and not opinions from personal use.
