Customer Service
Viewsonic has very poor solutions to their problems. Their customer service hardly ever call you back when they say they will. Their main solution is to wait wait wait wait. They are not open minded to other solutions and blow you off.

My situation When I first bought the Monitor, the picture quality was great, refresh rates were incredible. I loved it.
A couple of months later, my monitor broke. I took it in to Viewsonic and they promply gave me a replacement in a few minutes. Though it was a hassle to haul a 21 inch monitor there and back on a workday, I was satisfied with the way the situation was handled. I figured that the break was a glitch and wont ever happen again.
A few months later, the newer monitor broke. It was the exact same problem, (no picture except for a white vertical bar of light on the screen). The guy in the warehouse told me that it was a common problem and he sees it get fixed all the time with those monitors. Common? Maybe there is a flaw in these monitors. I was told if I brought my monitor in, I would promptly get a replacement. I took a day off of work and went in. To my surprise, they didnt have any P815's or any other 21 inch monitors at all in stock. They said they would send me a new monitor in a few days when they get them in stock.
It took them about 4 months to replace my monitor. I went for 4 months without a monitor. They would not give me a replacement or refund.

The screen image is good but, inevitably for a low-cost monitor, not perfect. Despite ... ...overall, however, the image is reasonably well regulated and consistent: there are no patches or evidence of mottling. Convergence and text clarity are good too, although in our tests the P815 wasn't so happy at certain resolutions where text appears to lose focus. Step up or drop back a level, and the problem is solved instantly. There is evidence of ballooning when flashing the image between black and white but it shouldn't be noticed in everyday ...
